D. Jones in Pads Today

LTIsTheGreatest : 10/13/2021 12:10 pm
Daniel Jones was surprisingly out on the practice field today in pads though he was pretty much just observing and not participating. IN fact , during his press conference today Judge was surprised when a reporter told him JOnes was out there on the field after Judge had said he would not be in pads today. Could be a good sign for Sunday if he felt good enough to be out there, though he still has a long way to go to be cleared for this Sunday
Super Bowl!!

.
I really hope Daniel Jones

Takes at least a week off!

At least as a precaution if nothing else.

This isn’t just about a game.

It’s about his long term health.

If Thomas is out

or Solder is still in at RT then Jones should be benched Sunday regardless. With Barkley and Golladay out and the possibility that both Shepard and Slayton are out there is no reason to risk Jones this week.
Honestly

I’m not buying much into this game. I would rather Jones, Barkley, Thomas, Golloday, all sit and get ready for next week.
damn the torpedos,

great thing about each week is how quickly things can change. not likely but if Gmen win this week, the whole frickin narrative changes again...i've seen too many seasons flip on a play let alone a game...i'm still invested with optimism...never as far as it looks....and it looks far..haha
Whatever disagreements we have over DJ as the franchise QB

No one should question his heart, toughness or competitiveness I really hope he earns his second contract with the Giants. I like this kid a lot.
If Jones Passes Concussion Protocol...
Jim in Tampa : 10/13/2021 12:43 pm : link
he will play.

Posters who have no medical degrees and no access to the injured player, and yet feel compelled to make medical recommendations as to when a player should return, just look foolish.
Judge

Ok I'll be the one to say it. Isn't it odd Judge didn't know Jones was out there on the field doing drills with pads on? Mr attention to detail was quite shocked to learn from the reporters.

Let’s hope is not the same doctor who evaluated Davante Adams.
why would

Looking foolish has never been obstacle to posting on BBI.

He didn't know his recently concussed starting QB was on the field working already. How could that be?
How

Can Judge not know this?

Nothing controversial
GeoMan999 : 10/13/2021 1:38 pm : link
Daniel probably decided to put the pads on for his own psyche. The key point is he is not practicing today as has been reported as well Judge also saying it.
I'm Sure Judge Knew that...
Jim in Tampa : 10/13/2021 1:40 pm : link
Jones was NOT participating in practice.

The fact that Judge seemingly didn't know that Jones decided to wear pads during practice is irrelevant.

Yep, as do posters stating not to play him because the season’s over. Can you imagine having a teammate who with 12 games left in a 17 game season that are ready to toss in the towel, wow.
From ESPN
stoneman : 10/13/2021 4:22 pm : link
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Quarterback Daniel Jones is "on track with everything" and could return from a concussion to play Sunday when the New York Giants host the Los Angeles Rams at MetLife Stadium, according to coach Joe Judge.

Jones was staggering after the blow to the head. The last time I see an athlete stagger like that after a blow to the head was in the boxing ring. If he passes concussion protocol and plays this week it's due to desperation in the Giants organization. There is no reason for Jones to suit up this Sunday.

We saw Patrick Mahomes laid out and seemingly KO'd last year and he returned the next series.
You, nor I, nor BBI(with perhaps a couple exceptions) know jack shit about concussions, symptoms and recovery. Every individual is different.
There is a reason there is an independent MD doing the evals.
