Tom Thibodeau says Kemba Walker is out due to rest and Nerlens Noel is getting closer to returning to the court. Noel won’t play vs. DET tonight.

Tom Thibodeau said “ideally, yes” when asked if Mitchell Robinson could play in the Knicks’ next preseason game. Robinson (foot) is close to being cleared for full contact.
He doesn't need to play a lot but chemistry is important. I like reading how Rose is taking Sims under his wing. Plus, having a legit PG on the floor helps everyone else get ready for the season. I do hope we see a lot of McBride tonight.

Taken literally, Kemba can’t play….because he rested.
Thibs said that each starter would be kept out of one exhibition, up to 4. So, this is Walker's turn. It's a great idea, because it leaves room for Quickly and McBride to get time at point.
I like the addition of Kemba because when he's on, he's a real asset. I just am concerned about how much is left in the tank. The good thing is that we're not counting him to be the alpha dog.
Time for these guys to take the next step. Can Robinson stay on the court this year? If not, Simms will get a long look
Robinson played 66 games as a 2nd round pick rookie (after sitting out a year), 61/66 games his second year and had 2 fluky injuries last year. This narrative he's always hurt simply isn't accurate.
was kinda confused with Hall/Powell move but I guess this allows them to give Hall a bonus up to 50K if he stays with Westchester for 60 days (despite being waived).

definitely were not firing on all cylinders, but man is this team deep.
I think a lot of our success in the regular season may come from the utilization of the subs and being able to just outscore the other teams second unit. Hopefully Thibs is liberal with his substitutions this year.
I do worry that in all three preseason games so far, we've either been losing or tied in the 3rd quarter, when the starters from the other team are typically pulled. Not having Noel or Mitch back there hurts. Hopefully they can get some run before the season starts for real.

they were up 13 at half against the Pacers and they pulled their starters to start the 3rd, kbicks went on a 15-0 run..
Knicks went up 10-15 points against the wizards in the 3rd with Beal and dinwiddie still playing..

Right and Julius Randle was playing with 5 minutes left against the Pistons.
I'm just saying that it's something to look out for.

So much for Dwayne Bacon’s friendship with Kemba Walker. Bacon is waived and Wayne Selden has inside track to 15th man.

Wayne Selden's last stop was in Israel, although apparently he did very well over there. 6'5" combo guard from U Kansas, probably plays D well if This wants him to stick around.

So was I, Cade Cunningham hasn't played since summer league.
Thibs should rest Rose and Kamba tonight. They don't need the game experience to get ready

Sounds like Kyrie-itis.
This has been a horrible game.
Starters played until the game was locked up.
Can he coach football?
Safe to say its not just "light at the end of the tunnel" stuff anymore. They're out of the tunnel.
Do you mean Simms or Sims?

I said this last year in one of the game threads haha
They did this last year to with the 20th spot
