I'm not saying he played great, but Blais absolutely wrecked Daniel Sprong in the NYR defensive zone. he also led the team in blocked shots.

this game was a shit show for the NYR, but not mainly because of the bottom 6 other than being in the box (Goodrow and Blais combined for 8 PIMs). They lost because of the PK and Georgiev/the defense primarily IMO. Tinordi was coughing up pucks all game, Nemeth is brutal (as I predicted that pair would struggle).

but you score 1 goal you're not going to win many games and once games get out of hand like this the opponent usually plays more conservatively.
