Am I wrong or hasn't our record been terrible since we stopped holding training camp in Albany? What was different (for the team and the players) about holding camp away from East Rutherford, NJ?
I miss the summer days up there. My kids were young and we had fun just going there. It solidified their fanship. It was great for them to have such easy access to the coaches and the players. They could see them and interact with them.
I'm not suggesting this is the only thing wrong with the Giants, obviously, but could it be a factor? It almost seems like it changed the culture of the team in a sense.
Now? Woof. I hate everything that this team does lol the newer stadium, the recent head coaches, the players, the endless excuses, the ridiculous amount of games that could have been won, Evan Engram. Etc.
Giants Stadium had a personality, Albany had a personality. The team was never as bad for as long in Giants Stadium as it is now. Its not bad juju but its Mara making shitty decision after shitty decision after shitty decision.

Good summary ... I loved Giants stadium and have good memories of Albany as well. When my son was about 12, we had a great 3 days at camp, Cooperstown, Lake George and our first experience at Saratoga.
Getting in bed with the Jests on the new stadium was a huge mistake.
Fwiw The first class parking situation at metlife makes me puke the most.
Connecticut fans get no respect. It’s all either New York or New Jersey now.
There's no way you could get approval for those sorts of crowds in the NorthEast, or have things like "Autograph Alley", for one. Close contact (talking to players next to the fence, or shaking Ike Hillard's hand) have been outlawed. Two a days are just about extinct, contact is limited.
The cut down in the length of camp and total practices open to the public just make it impractical to go to UA, Fairfield, or any other outside facility. You're dragging your whole organization for just a few days, and tying up fields that the host school uses?
It's a shame, because it really was magical when it was in Albany...you got closer to the players and staff than you ever would at Giants Stadium/Metlife. Sadly, that world fell apart after 9/11, and was scattered after the CBA was signed and Covid hit. There is no going back.
For those of you who were there, treasure the memories and tell the stories; it's truly the next best thing to being there!
