Exactly the 30th best pass rush in the NFL. They can't set the edge, in addition to the jag MLB unit without Martinez, does not matter how good your secondary is, this is a below roaster front 7.

That may be true BUT we upgraded the secondary, LW is back and we have more "athletes" than w did last year. I think the scheme is weak- ie it needs perfection to work and we don't have that. Talent is an issue but we can't even scheme ourselves into stops.

I get the pass rush not quite being there given the pieces. But to me, for the talent that we supposedly have in the DB area, there's just too many instances of what seems to be either blown assignments/coverages or guys just not covering well at all...

I don't think it's quite that simple. Bradberry's play has regressed. Go to the advanced defense and fumbles in the link (I know people love/hate PFF, but the percentages and numbers don't lie in this table). He's allowing 13 yds/comp vs. 10.5 last year and 11.1 in 2019 w/Carolina. He's allowed 3 TD's already vs 4 all of last year and 1 in 2019. QB rating against him this year is 111.2 vs 81.2 last year and 70.1 in 2019, etc.

LT Andrew Thomas (foot) and and LG Matt Skura (LG) participated in the open portion of practice after working on the side yesterday, but Thomas' workload seemed much lighter than usual. No sign of RB Saquon Barkley (ankle) or WR Kenny Golladay (knee) again.

I expect only a few players to still be on the team including the depth guys. They will load up on D in the draft the next two years imv.

to be bookends and with all the shuffling they are doing they need hopefully two that will stick on the interior. Can't go into the draft using multiple premium pics on OL. That's where the impact D guys are.

I wouldn't move to defense until I felt somewhat satisfied with the Oline. Whats the point or we will continue to lurch from one unit to the next.

We have two first round picks and two third round picks next year- Edge and OL have to be targets with a couple of those picks.
