Is there any word on this guy? Is he practicing at tackle or guard? Reporters don’t ask a single question about him. He was signed and then forgotten on a team shuffling lineman left and right I’d like to see this guy get in there at left guard. Any update would be appreciated.
He's a project, maybe we see him later in the year, but we need to be a little patient.

In fairness, the OP said nothing about getting him in there right away, just asking if there's been updates on him practicing, etc. No need to jump out with a sarcastic/douchey comment...that's a microcosm of what's wrong with this place at times.
I think everyone should have proper expectations here and realize the guy hasn't played any football in a long time...he's had like 2 snaps since being drafted.
It's a flyer, and I'm happy he's on the practice saud, but realistically he ain't playing this year imo.
check back 2022.

Wow if that’s true that’s very sad but I guess there’s no rush. He’s a project after all.
The reason why I mentioned guard is because pre draft I remember many scouts saying he might be too slow to handle speed at the next level. He’s a large man reminds me of a Shawn Andrews type.

As Jon said.
And the coaches have already said as much.
I recommend you guys read/listen to the coaching transcripts that come out each Thursday.

When i see Mekhi Becton, I think man, that guy is huge and not in a good way. Yet he's in shape enough to play(when his knees aren't shot). Point being appearances, especially for lineman, can be deceiving. Now cardio, knowledge of the play book, mechanics; I think all of those are why we may not see him til '22. But like the OP I'd like to see him by the end of this season.

- lose excess weight, work on fitness - will take months
- work on technique
- prove he is a worker and can keep his nose clean
Maybe he makes an appearance latter part of the season. If he ever does make a significant impact, don’t think that happens any earlier than next season. Worth the gamble on a first round talent.
Is he really motivated to be a quality NFL player???
The Giants are going to spend the time to find out....
More likely, if he’s still serious, the off-season and ‘22 camp.

My post was generic and tongue in cheek, but the point remains he's not remotely close to game shape, physically nor in terms of preparation. Some say he cracked 400 lbs, so I'd suggest re-calibrating your expectations.
chill~
That said, "He Fat!"
That's pretty funny.

They asked him to drop 50 lbs. At the time he was brought in he was over 400lbs. I wouldn't expect any meaningful updates this year.
This eval period is to see if he is committed. Can he show up, do as the trainers ask to lose weight and learn the playbook without succumbing to his demons.
It would be huge if he can turn it around. I would not hold my breath, but being with Thomas and Sale while being "home" may work.
Losing 50lbs is a project to say nothing of thr behavioral/mental/psychological issues.
There's your answer.

He's far more likely to be cut than to see playing time this season. 50+ pounds can't be shed too quickly. If he doesn't start shedding weight and showing the proper work ethic, he'll be gone. If he does show the right qualities, he could be a kick-ass Guard in the future.
“Everything we’ve given him, he’s done up-to-task so far in our protocol,” offensive line coach Rob Sale said. “We’re going to get him in shape, get him caught up to speed in the meeting room, so then we can really get a good evaluation on him.”
He couldn't get a sniff because he eats all the food in smelling radius.
