Kadarius Toney highlights when he was a QB at Florida

Should we run a wildcat option with Toney more?

Those are from a spring game scrimmage, right?

He might have a bit less success against an NFL defense.
I say let him be QB

I'll enjoy the game against STL a lot more I think.

Plus it will be another good excuse for Mara at the end of the year why we didn't win more games
Ray Lucas or Taysom Hill

Why can’t the Giants use Toney the way these guys were/are used?
At the very least, it gives opposing DC’s more to game plan for.
Maybe he should get a shot at QB

I never watched college football until our daughter went to U of F; she graduated in May, and I saw nearly every game over the past four years. Toney never seemed to get any national press coverage--it was all Kyle Pitts--but Toney was invariably the guy making the electric plays. Never would I have guessed that the Giants would take him with their 1st Round pick, and I immediately posted here on BBI that Toney combined the best characteristics of Dave Meggett and Victor Cruz, and how excited I was by the pick.

I'm looking forward to seeing this guy over the coming years.
He's getting more involved

Let's remember he's still a rookie. They're giving him more to do every week. They've designed plays for him to have a chance to throw each of the last two weeks and he also had that wildcat snap. I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see him in the backfield as the season goes on. Running a read option with Jones and Toney would be tough for a defense.

I think it's becoming clear they need to get the ball in his hands and teams are going to start shading coverage to him. They need to get creative to keep getting him touches.
I expect to see it a bit

Modern offense in the NFL doesn't play by the pre 2011 CBA way anymore. It's a matchup league where you try anything to get your guys in space and or with the ball. The protection in place for QBs and offensive players have turned the NFL on its ear. It's easier than ever to run outside with the removal of cutting down pulling OL and crack back blocks. The field is more wide open than ever and teams that adapt are succeeding. Drafting Toney and actually using him that way the past two weeks is either a fluke or a glimpse of what the younger offensive assistants we brought in this off season are driving us towards. Some of the concepts I've seen in the past two weeks give me legitimate pause that we are slowly evolving.
