At best, Smith and Robinson may see some action in December. But that's pushing it. They haven't even practiced with the team since they've been drafted other than OTAs.

Smith is puzzling, he sustained a hamstring injury during OTA and is still out (seems like a long time for a hammy). NFL rules allow for a player on IR to begin practicing after 3-weeks at which time the team has a 3-week window to place him back on the roster (don't know if the Giants have returned Smith to practice).
Robinson is not eligible to return until after game-6 (this week), but even then rules do not allow him to practice while on the PUP so I'm guessing this will be more of a Red Shirt year for him.

What makes it scarier with Smith is that he hadn't even played college football in quite some times because of how his division handled covid.
Smith was always going to be a developmental guy anyway
Not that I've seen.

I would not put much stock on a late round pick as an edge rusher. I mean that just does not happen. Maybe special teams in his future if lucky.
Ximines is unreliable so getting Smith reps is vital to his growth and get a good look for him heading into next season.
Robinson is a big corner who can thrive anywhere in the backfield.
