Slither (2006) - directed by James Gunn. Given Halloween's approach I was in the mood for a Horror-Comedy. I was surprised to have never of this one given how successful Gunn has been with the superhero flicks. There's fun gross-out body/horror stuff, good jokes in the dialogue, and a likable cast.
as of late. First Blood, Under Siege, Cliffhanger, Total Recall and a couple others that are escaping me. My wife never saw Leon the Professional so that’s next.
the Closer, more controversial than good IMO, because it was really not his best work, but still better than almost any other way to spend an hour watching something on netflix.
Watched 'The Graduate' the other night. Great movie. And the ending scene in the bus as their faces change from sheer excitement to a 'WTF did we just do?' expression.

I saw it and it felt like a movie that was made in 2011 and kept on a shelf and wasn't released until 2021. Also, I would like it more if it were 2011 ... but it's not 2011.
Or maybe I was just burnt out from the New York City plotline after watching Rescue Me. I loved that show when it was on but I tried to watch it again and yeah. It had it's time.
Should've just did a made-for-tv Rescue Me movie with Bill Burr lol

So Leon the Professional was a movie that was staring at me on Netflix for a while, I’ve heard others besides you recommend it as well. So I watched it this weekend.
Maybe it’s because I saw it for the first time in 2021 but the Reno/Portman dynamic was a little bit creepy imo. I researched the movie after and I saw that the director Luc Besson partially based it off of his own relationship with his first wife (who he married when she was 15/16 and he was early 30s). Then I read something about the script where it was initially supposed to have Portman/Reno sleep together.
That aspect of the movie was hard to get past. But I loved the cinematography of the old school NY, Reno was also a complete badass and watching his action scenes was fun, and Gary Oldman stole the show. Not a bad movie by any means, just a little uncomfortable to watch due to the relationship dynamic imo.
The Break Up
The Man who Knew Too Little
What about Bob?
You me and Dupree
Hilarity for sure!
Tim Blake Nelson kills it as Buster Scruggs. He’s really underrated. His new movie Old Henry looks great.
We love Tootsie.
Good call here. Always a good watch...
Just watched the trailer...this looks pretty good.

One of the most underrated movies in the genre. IMO best car chase movie too.
Loved this line too. Him and Reno’s chemistry was awesome, wish they did more together.

It was not award worthy, but worth watching IMO.
I just felt like what they changed, changed the story a lot.
