“breakthrough” cases. Can’t wait for this crap to go away. Hopefully it will act like other viruses and get weaker as it mutates. Time will tell.
I am so fucking over it. I just hope it doesn't mutate into something that evades vaccines because the thought of another lockdown...I don't know if I could handle that mentally.
Spend some time on any number of the Covid dashboards and tell me we aren't endemic at this point. At some point we need to start to let ourselves come out of this.
that I got my shots to be safe, but I still have to mask-up. I'm upset that I can still pass the virus to my friends too. It seems like the only thing the vaccine did for me is allow me to keep my job, which isn't even a medical benefit. I'd decline a second booster if it came to that, but I don't want to be living on the street.

And it will keep you out of the ICU, so there's always that.
I must live in another universe than some of you. In my community there are really high vaccination rates, literally every business is open, and life feels extremely normal.
The only time I wear a mask is when I am spending prolonged time indoors in a busy setting.
I’m really grateful there are effective vaccines, and will get the follow up, as I do for the flu each year.

I live in "dreaded" FL. Everyone I know is now vaxxed. There is one older lady that refuses but always wears a mask. (Is it worth it to have to wear a mask and not get the shot). Like you, I rarely wear a mask except in food stores or extremely crowded indoor places and not in restaurants. I will not wear one outdoors, no matter how crowded. Just played in a big golf outing with a bunch of guys from Chicago. Heard comments that they thought everyone in FL had the virus(sick) and were amazed that actually out how open everything was.
However, I do think that no matter what, this virus will remain active at least into the nearby future but more than likely into perpetuity just like all the other viruses that exist. Perhaps the level of lethality will drop.
Yes, the vaxes are not perfect. Yes people will continue to get sick(including dying). However, they do mitigate the effects.
Not if he’s vaccinated
That's my hope too.
