When I was a teenager my first love broke up with me. I was in the dumps for days after. This song was playing on the radio. My father said to me, “listen to the words of this song”. Walk like a man. No woman’s worth crawling on the earth. The song was right!
So many catchy tunes!

One of my favs from way back when:

Let’s hang on to what we’ve got
Don’t let go girl we got a lot
Got a lot of love between us
Hang on hang on hang on
To what we’ve got
My eyes adored you

That song was so reminiscent of my life when it came out. He and the Four Season was my first concert as a teenager in the 70's at MSG. And he has been one of my favorite artist ever since.

Opus 17
I remember the summer of 1990

I was 6, almost 7 and my love of 50s and 60s music was already in full bloom.

All my parents listened to on the radio in the house or in the car was the local oldies station.

I didn't know what "new music" was then.
New music to me was every song that came across the radio I previously hadn't heard not knowing it was already 40 or 50 yeara old.

One night driving to pick up my mom through Portland, Maine on Congress St "Rag Doll" came on and my father looked at the radio, then at me, and said "man, I love this song" and through his eyes flashed a thousand memories that he tried to convey to me by simply turning up the volume as loud as that old Caprice Wagon would let him and he drove down Congress St like it was 1964 and I fell in love with that song and that memory has been burned into my brain ever since.

That opening is one of my favorites of all time.

I don't know what I had for breakfast today. But I remember that one day in July in 1990.

So to answer your question, "Rag Doll".

I have grown tired of most of their other songs over the years. But never that one.
So many are on the same tier

Can't Take My Eyes Off You was with the Four Seasons. It was a Frankie Valli solo effort.

I'd take Opus 17 or Let's Hang On.

I've Got You Under My Skin is perhaps my favorite song of all time and Frankie Valli's rendition is superb... good call

The older I get, the more annoying his falsetto is.
Let’s Hang On ...
