Damn it. I was looking at my Google pics and I went to this game and it was on this day 5 years ago already. What a great day and one of the very ... very .... VERY few games that has gone in the Giants favor aince 2012. OBJ for the win!
he had over 150 total yards and 3 TDs versus Dallas last season. Seems like a pretty good game.
That's true.
Telling I forgot all about that game. He's been averaging 64, 45, and 41 yards per game in Cleveland. Just 7 TD's in the past 26 games. That's a fact and they moved on at the right time. Paying him big dollars to miss games or be average is no bueno.
The Toney hype had me reminiscing about Odell and this was his single best game for the team.
- 8 catches for 220 yards and 2 TDs
- The TDs came very late in the game and were both 60+ yards
- The TDs basically saved the Giants season (went to 3-3 and prevented a 4 game losing streak)
But then you also had the shenanigans with OBJ. This happened a couple weeks after he hit himself with the Kicking Net, so he was self conscious about it and knew the cameras were on him so he went over to the net multiple times during the game to do some weird shit. Atleast 3 times he hugged the net and pretended to propose to the net at the end of it. He also took off his helmet after his GW TD which was a selfish decision since the Ravens could’ve came back.
The dude loved the cameras being on him. But holy crap was he a hell of a player at his best. The GW TD came off a slant that he took like 70 yards, normal NFL players can’t make a play like that. His performance saved the season and led to our only playoff appearance in the past decade.
Prior to the game winning slant to Odell. Donnell ran out of bounds short of the sticks on a third down for no reason. Could have easily got the first. Just a bonehead play. Then next play eli hits Odell on the slant which i believe was 4th and 2

Fuck no I don't forget that at all. I went from yelling YOU FUCKING pussy!! To screaming my head off when OBJ went wild on the very next play.
Lol. I was in the 3rd or 4th row and I should be in jail for everything that I was yelling at the refs that day. The DRC was the WORST call I've ever seen in my life.
Never hated a Giants TE as much as Donnell until Engram. I remember him stepping out of bounds in that game.
Donnell was just some undrafted basketball player who played football and shouldn't have been out there. He should have never been a starting tight end.
Engram is a first round talent tease who won't go away. I think Larry Donnell might have more TDs in the one Redskins game in 2014 than Engram has had since 2018.

that play by Donnell was one of the worst plays I've ever seen by a professional athlete. It was either incredibly dumb or gutless.
That's the thing I hate about the 2016 team. I remember thinking they'd be good for years to come after games like this and they finally got out of those bad years '13-'15 with those guys and then nope. Those years came.
2017-present has been even worse, averaging 4-5 wins a year LOL.

Yup you are correct I remember Leaping Larry running out of bounds before the sticks ! I was yelling and cursing the tv at him. Almost cost us the game if not for Odell taking it to the house.
In hindsight, I think that catch vs. Dallas his rookie season was the worst thing that ever happened to Odell. He went from a promising WR to a worldwide sensation. I believe Michael Jordan himself was texting Odell. Fame went straight to his head.
It's is a shame because the talent...man, he had Canton written all over him. I get that he's 28 or 29, but I don't think he'll end up in the Hall.
Been downhill since 2017.

But I can't recall a Giant I despised more than Evan Engram. I am going to break out the champagne the day he's no longer on this roster.
