Did anyone watch Oregon’s game versus Cal last night. Gotdammmmmmm!!! That kid looks like Von Miller. Outrageous speed and bend. He ran over the left tackle in the fourth quarter. He rushed from a standup position and also lined up over the guard a few times.
Unfortunately, the Giants won’t get him because there are teams actually worse than them.
Mock drafts have him going #1 overall, probably to the Jags.
Giants football...feel the optimism!
As it currently stands, the Eagles have THREE of the top eight picks in the 2022 draft due to trades with the Colts and Dolphins. The Colts’ record will likely improve, but the Eagles will have a lot of trade assets too.
My second favorite edge is;
Aiden Hutchinson 6'-6" 270 lbs, he is a freak and plays like it. He is a larger version of TJ Watt and has more potential than the Bosas' . Presently the highest rated edge by PFF in 2022 draft class
Michigan Wolverines football junior defensive end Aidan Hutchinson was one of 24 players to land on ESPN.com's midseason All-America team, but now he's received even more praise, with PFF analyst Anthony Treash naming him the top defensive lineman and overall defensive player through the first half of the season.
Hutchinson has accumulated 24 tackles, six stops for loss, 5.5 sacks (ninth nationally), three quarterback hurries and one forced fumble, leading a Wolverines' defense that ranks ninth nationally in scoring defense (15.5 points per game) and 23rd in total defense (310 yards per contest).
"The term 'unblockable' is often thrown around loosely, but it certainly applies with Hutchinson," Treash raved. "He is the only player in the country who has earned a spot on PFF's Team of the Week three times this season and already has multiple elite performances on his grading profile.
EDGE Aidan Hutchinson, Michigan Wolverines
Hutchinson has recorded a 92.6 PFF grade through the first half of the 2021 season, the highest mark among all FBS edge defenders. His 32.4% pass rush win rate is on pace to break the Power 5 record in the PFF College era by multiple percentage points.
Aiden is a physical specimen and the second most freaky college football player as determined by Feldman
Yesterday, Feldman released his 2021 version of the list which includes 101 players. Michigan was well-represented, with EDGE Aidan Hutchinson coming in at No. 2 overall.
Here’s part of what Feldman had to say about Hutchinson, who he compared to last year’s No. 1 freak in college football, Kwity Paye:
“While at Michigan, Paye clocked the second-best 3-cone time on the team at 6.37. This offseason, Hutchinson timed 6.54, which would’ve been better than anyone at the 2020 combine. In addition, he vertical jumped 36 inches, ran a 4.64 40 and ripped off a 4.07 shuttle time. Hutchinson also did a 2.57-second reactive plyo stair, which at 265, amazed even his strength coaches.”

100%
If we can go OL and Hutchinson in the 1st, id be pretty thrilled.
The guy who intrigue me as Edge candidates is Bonitto. He can really get after it off the edge with speed. Hell, I like both of his teammates as well on the DL - Winfrey and Thomas.
Oklahoma can get after the passer this year...
Whoever the other team is, they may have a say in that.
I see KT and Neal regularly on BBI but just wondering who are the others that might draw a surprising selection instead..
Thibodeaux WAS impressive the little I watched, but just seemed a SPEED one trick pony, but I have no idea about evaluating except for the eye test.

But it looks like Jacksonville will probably end up 1st overall.

Both the Phins and Colts will win more games. I’d be shocked if either of those are too 10 picks and if the Colts are headed for a top 10 pick later in the season, the Eagles won’t be getting that pick because there’s no way in hell the Colts are going to play Wentz 75% of the snaps in a disastrous season, while giving up a top 10 pick. They’d bench him. Hell, they’d probably release him before losing that pick. They are a smart organization.
I’m not trading a premium 1st rounder (assuming it is a top 10 pick) for anyone other than a QB. Thibodeaux would have to be LT reincarnated to give up a 2nd first for him.
Let me guess, you are going with Adam Anderson...
Keep an eye on Nick Bottinno for Oklahoma. Kid really gets after it...

Ha no...
I'm including non-draft eligible players too...
What are your thoughts of Bottinno, btw?

Been looking at footage for him as well. He's good in coverage as well, something our coaching staff might like.

Right conference - wrong team
Bottino...lightning feet and good techniques. Good hands and good bend. Lacks a power game and length may be an issue. A tad on the small side. We will see though I don't have official measurements.
Day 2
If he keeps the job, I have to imagine Rattler is hitting the portal. Because he can't be a first rounder after such a pedestrian year...

Was never a first rounder outside of the media parrots
Haven't talked to a scout that had him anywhere besides mid round
Have you seen Malik Willis yet?
yes
Kid is going to be the Heisman favorite for next year.
