The word gets tossed around a lot but I think he's really underrated. Yes, you have movies like SWAT, Miami Vice and Alexander but you also have Tigerland, Intermission, The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and In Bruges.
Looks good & this isn't a knock on the movie, but I wish Hollywood got more original & stopped just making another Batman, Spiderman, etc. movie. Maybe I'm getting old, Haha.

How cool to do a superhero remake, who could have thought that up?
The last Batman movie should be "Batman: Rabid" and we can watch him roam around during the daytime stumbling around drunk looking foaming at the mouth biting innocent old people out getting their mail before the animal control officer wrangles him around the neck and throws him into the back of a truck and is eventually euthanized but before the camera fades to black we see that one of his victims who was savagely mauled by tiny bat bites to the leg suddenly.... feels.... something...
And becomes Rabies Man. The super hero who still wears the pajamas he was mauled in but is now darting out from the treeline attacking criminals in broad daylight instead of always under the cover of night.

I wondered how many Batman movies had been made and thought others might be interested as well. So I looked it up and posted it.
