Georgia might be in a class of their own this season
I think this might be THE year for Georgia. They are so damn loaded. They just gotta get over the hump.
My only question with Georgia is their QB in a game against Alabama in the SEC championship
True but I was thinking about today how Georgia will likely get 2 cracks at Alabama and only need to win one. Either they beat them in the SEC Championship and then Alabama is out, or they lose in the SEC Championship and have to play them in the CFP (or Nat'l Championship). Or, of course, third possibility is Alabama beats Georgia in the SECCG, then gets eliminated in the CFP semi-final by a different team. Either way, it's looking like Alabama will have to beat Georgia twice if they want to win another Natty, and that's gonna be tough based on how good Georgia is.
RE: Iowa looked like they would have lost by 3 touchdowns
Are we sure a 2 loss Bama team isn't getting into the CFP?
Let's say they lose a close game to UGA in the SEC Championship. It is 'Bama. They hold a lot of sway.
Obviously a lot dependent on Cincy, OSU, & OU not stubbing their toe between now & then.
I guess we can't be 100% sure. I mean Alabama probably IS one of the 4 best teams in the country at the end of the season logically-speaking, But IDK. From what I've heard all the "experts" say, that Texas A&M loss was bad for 'Bama and they likely need to run the table. I mean a loss to an unranked team? I think there will be a lot of pressure on the committee to look at that loss and consider what they would do if this was literally any other team BESIDES Alabama. For pretty much any other team it seems one loss like that is okay BUT then you need to run the table otherwise.
But you're definitely right there's a long way to go in the season and what other teams do will obviously matter. But Cincy is not gonna lose again, so they're getting in-- I don't see a 2-loss Bama team getting in over undefeated Cincy, not this year at least. And I feel the same way about OU-- I just don't see them losing, but they definitely could. So then that leaves one more spot. And I could be wrong-- but EVEN IF OSU loses one more time, but the loss is to a top 10 opponent, then both their losses are to top-10 opponents, and they'd also have wins over a bunch of top-10 opponents, so in that case I see 2-loss Alabama as the odd-man out simply because that A&M loss was so bad. IDK we'll see though.
if OSU loses again the team they lose to has run the table from here on out, including beating OSU, then that team is definitely getting in (over OSU as well obviously).
It's tough enough as it is to get into the CFP with 2 losses. But now you add on to that one of the losses was to a relatively pedestrian team? I just think likelihood there are at least 4 teams at the end of the season with a better resume than that "loss-wise." Of course, they ARE Alabama, so that by itself could sway the committee (and I'm not even saying that's a bad thing necessarily).
Tennessee fans throwing objects on the field for several minutes
Yeah, right. Iowa beat Penn State and Penn State beat Auburn.

But either of these teams would be dead last in either division of the sec

Its true although Iowa was losing to PSU until Clifford got hurt.

I think Penn St is actually...if healthy at QB.
I'm not sold on OSU's D. I am on PSU's D.
Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Michigan State are all in the same division in the Big 10 so they will all face each other

I think PSU is damn good, but OSU is a not above. Do they play one another this season?

Duh me. Haha. I should have known that.
It's in Columbus...unfortunately.

Tough spot for PSU.
Yeah, PSU wins last week if Clifford doesn't get injured. No argument here.

Agreed. But here's the thing, Clifford wasn't even playing that well before he got hurt.

We say this almost every year and somehow they manage to go flat by the end of the year and/or Bowl Game..
Disgraceful conduct. And people threw golf balls @ Kiffin.
