Looking for a new job but still have my current job for at least a few more months. I'm looking for a pretty senior position. I'm on LinkedIn, just got on The Ladders and Indeed. Any other good sites? I'm looking for a fully remote job so I can work from home permanently.
Also: In this era of scanned resumes, does resume formatting even matter? I have a beautifully designed and formatted resume (in my job, the formatting and design is part of my pitch for myself) but it's not suitable for scanning into automated applicant tracking software.
(1) LinkedIn is the best job board. Use their "Easy Apply" feature as much as possible. Most of their jobs also list the job contact. Get a premium membership because that allows you to use an InMail to send your resume directly to that person even if you are not connected. You can also attach another copy of your resume. Doing this has been very effective for several of my clients.
(2) Apply early. A lot of applicant tracking systems will only collect a certain number of resumes. Any after that number are automatically ignored.
(3) Unless instructed otherwise, send your resume as a PDF.

These are good pointers. Thank you.
GD is actually DG spelled backwards
I got my last two jobs (which span the past 20 years) from my network and LinkedIn.
I get many inquiries from headhunters/recruiter on linkedin.
having a solid linkedin profile, headline and presence is definitely a good start.
My handle's meaning: I'm a 1981 grad of SUNY Albany, home of the Great Danes. In fact, I was a sportscaster on the school radio station along with Paul Schwartz, the longtime Giants beat writer. I can't exactly say we were friends, but we knew each other. He was already 100% focused on his career as a sportswriter.
Gov't bennies...
I've had four different offers that I declined for a few different reasons. Hopeful that the right job will come along. Til then I can cruise in my current role.
