Why were they playing this game?
Reports were that Toney did not look 100% pre game.
Thomas has barely practiced in two weeks and it seemed he was rushed back.
Playing either of them today reeked of desperation. It does not seem like the coaching staff is doing what's best for the players.
If they are cleared than they are cleared to play. Although this is not the old days, players still want to play and will play hurt.
A really smart organization looking at the big picture might have held both of them out. But most NFL teams/coaches would have pushed them to shoot up and play. Thomas was limping as soon as he got out there.

Last time he was injured was in Dallas and due to a player landing on Toney’s foot/ankle in an awkward way, wasn’t a role.

This is 100% not true. There's always grey areas. These cases were clearly in the grey area.
But I didn't expect, played with after effects of a concussion after he was cleared. That's a novel excuse. Congrats. I didn't see it coming.
Jones has no effects from the concussion. He passed all the tests in the locker-room after the Dallas game.
