NFT: Has anyone seen Halloween Kills yet? (Spoilers ahead)

Jints in Carolina : 10/18/2021 1:17 pm
I saw it Thursday night.....I liked a lot of it, especially the really well made flashback to 1978 scenes, but man oh man was there a lot cringe....especially Tommy Doyle and all the hospital scenes.

Michael is fucking brutal in this movie though. the scenes with the old couple and the drone was insane brutality

Thoughts?
Also if you took a shot every time they said "evil dies tonight"
Jints in Carolina : 10/18/2021 1:20 pm : link
or "40 years ago" you'd have alcohol poisoning.

Liked parts of it. I felt they could have done more fire fighter scene. And they just needed to cut the entire hospital scene from the movie. And the dumb evil dies tonight chant was ok the first time they said it but by the 100th time you are rooting for Myers to kill them.

And then the whole scene of the mob chasing that other mental patient....he looked Danny DeVito as the penguin. How the hell did they mistake him for Myers.... and my god Anthony Michael Hall's acting as Tommy was bad.
finally a thread about this... and i am a big Halloween series fan
GMAN4LIFE : 10/18/2021 1:56 pm : link
the thing about this new trilogy was to be more realistic and a different take to the original.

but here are my issues:

1) I mean when will the cops call in the FBI or National Guard? lol

2) The marketing department really botched this as the title for the next one just made this one seem as a filler. All the "evil dies tonight" just had me at... no it isn't. next movie yes but not this one haha.

3) The fuck is up the mob in the hospital?

4) jesus christ, all those people surrounding Michael and they couldn't kill him. i have seen better jump videos than this.

5) The police didnt surround the home?? how the fuck did Michael get back in the house?? i mean what the fuck.

6) lastly, again, they wanted to make this realistic. When will they explain how a normal man is indestructible? The guy got burned, shot, and etc. I mean no one is asking why?

I guess Halloween Ends will be the main event but I thoroughly expect Jaime will die in that one. The fact her daughter died, she will def die to save her granddaughter.

I can look past
KDubbs : 10/18/2021 2:12 pm : link
the mob thing because none of those people outside of tommy doyle really has seen Michael and I mean dumb mobs chant dumb things, there are plenty of examples.

The cringe worthy things to me were This is for Dr Loomis and the black nurses death. that was so eye rolling stupid
I liked it, although the 5 Halloween timelines give me a headache
PatersonPlank : 10/18/2021 2:14 pm : link
I guess this is the one that goes - Halloween 1, Halloween 2018 - Halloween Kills?

One thing I kept thinking was when they were all standing around Michael in a circle beating him, and he was just lying on the ground, why don't they cut his head off? You just knew he was getting back up again
Yea when Green and McBride said they wanted
Jints in Carolina : 10/18/2021 2:15 pm : link
to take the movies back to its roots, we got that in H18...this movie was an acid trip....lots of scenes took me completely out of the movie.

I did like when Hawkins told Laurie, "it isn't about you".....we all knew Michael had no interest in Laurie.....finally someone said it. He just wanted to go home.
Halloween is my second favorite horror series
Dave in Hoboken : 10/18/2021 2:17 pm : link
of all time only behind Nightmare on Elm Street for me.

But I really don't like how they say Michael is NOT super-natural and is just human. Or, some say he is mostly human, but has some super-natural in him.

Like, you can't have it both ways. He either is, or he isn't.

Which leads me to this movie. There is no fucking way on Earth he, or anyone, survives that beatdown in the street at the end. Not only does he survive it, but he rises up and kills all of them.

Then, if that's not ridiculous enough for you. He somehow then walks back to his house without anyone trying to stop him, and murders Laurie's daughter on the second floor?

Ridiculous and completely illogical.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think Karen's death was real
Jints in Carolina : 10/18/2021 2:22 pm : link
I think it some sort of dream sequence.
Big John and Little John

is the new Marco Polo game LOL
I liked it a lot but I’m biased
The_Boss : 10/18/2021 2:23 pm : link
The last 10 minutes were great. Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy and his role in the movie, especially in the hospital, gave me douche chills. I got flashbacks to one of the Friday the 13th movies when Karen stuck the pitchfork through Michael’s back..speaking of Karen…the end of the movie kinda sucked for her…
Anthony Michael Hall's acting was terrible
Jints in Carolina : 10/18/2021 2:25 pm : link
and I hate the way the writers portrayed Tommy.

if she isnt dead, it makes Halloween Kills a fucking waste of a time (for the most part it was anyways). I mean now i understand the reviews from the critics on how this movie was a waste of Jaimes time.
There's a theory that Halloween Ends that at the end
Jints in Carolina : 10/18/2021 3:07 pm : link
Jamie will be laying in Smith's Grove having gone insane and everything that happened after that night in 1978 was all a dream.

She did say Ends is going to piss off a lot of people.

Why should would announce that, I have no idea.

I loved how in one of the F13 movies, they called in the National Guard/Army for Jason and blow the shit out of him.

#9 - Jason goes the Hell - The Final Friday.
How about Michael using that old man as a pin cushion?

it's like he was testing out all the knives to see which one would be best.

i think that comment is based on the writers saying Ends will deal with current politics and the pandemic and will obviously have a time jump

Ok if that were the case, and who knows it might be, what about Michael? He would have to be at Smith’s Grove too if Frank and the Haddonfield PD apprehended him as shown in Kills, no?

Hubie Brown (TNT): "OK, you're Michael Myers. You have a tremendous amount of upside for a serial killer, but you have to understand, you've been locked up for the past 15 years. You just killed somebody, so you're a little worked up. Now you're in an empty house with a dead body, and two kids arrive that are all over each other. You end up watching them having sex in the guest room. You feel a little left out, you're a 21-year-old virgin, your hormones are running wild, and you're a homicidal maniac to boot. You're telling me that you aren't absolutely itching to kill these two kids?"

Tim McCarver (ABC Sports): "So Myers strangles Linda ... while she's talking on the phone ... to her friend, Laurie. And that ... was a BIG ... mistake. When Hollywood serial killers ... get caught... 73 percent of the time ... it happens ... because they screwed up ... and that number increases ... to 91 percent ... if they're killing people in a suburban setting."
Shouldnt

Michael be nearly 70 already? He should almost be dead soon.

Why dont people move out of the town?

When they stabbed him, I knew he would take the knife out and slash them all. Get the National Guard out on him and blow him up.
