Mike Francesa lets the NY Giants have it after 51-17 loss

but the fact that hes gushing about Engram is LOL

If you didn't think Engram was one of the few guys giving max effort yesterday, I don't know what to say. That's not gushing.

They're not losing because of Engram.

They are losing because they get beat up on both sides on the line of scrimmage, every week.

22-28 passing and gave up nearly 400 total yards.

They can't stop the run or the pass vs. any team they're playing.

Our year 4 QB is STILL throwing picks into triple coverage because he can't make read progressions.

He can't audible out of a bad call and still can't sense pressure even though he knows his starting LT is out.

We are down to giving John freaking Ross and Collin Johnson starters snaps. John Ross has the ball awareness of clubbed seal.

Price gets pushed back as if he's on roller skates and whichever bozo is left guard is a turnstile.

The HC's specialty, Special teams, may be the worst unit on the team.

But yeah, this is all Evan Engram's fault.

This clip is from 2017. My comments about it Engram is that Franciosa had declared him back after the loss five years ago there’s a guy who’s going to catch a ton of balls and that he knows will be a star. His career basically ended after that rant by the king of the mush Mike Francesca.

Perhaps, but did you listen to the WHOLE clip? The point is, nothing has changed from 2017, other than most of the players and all of the coaches. Poor line play, poor Secondary, no pass rush, etc. The same old broken record, the same results from this organization. The rot is deep, and needs extensive rooting out to fix.

Francessa pushed Engram early, I'm not sure he's big on EE now, though Mike hates to admit when he's wrong.

Is Mike a Giants fan? I know he's a huge Yankees fan, but not sure of his football allegiances. He was (is?) close to Parcells so I'm assuming he rooted for the Giants when BP was here.

You want to kill the messenger, fine, but don't forget he was a big proponent of the Maras and the organization on NY radio for years.

The Reese/McAdoo/Eli debacle was the first break, and then Mike really went in on them for the DG/Shurmur pairing. Part of it was I think Gettleman offended everyone with his demeanor, but I think Mike really didn't like DG and then Shurmur was collateral damage.

If you don't remember, the Giants' public stance was that Mike got really personal so they cut off a lot of access. Turns out most of his points about the search, the coach, etc., were right.

Mike was the first media personality to also underscore how badly the Giants damaged their loyal fan base with PSLs for the new stadium.
