I don't expect to be non-competitive but the realist in me thought we were going to have a tough start of the year when :
- Our skill position players (Golladay/Barkley/Rudolph) didn't play in the preseason.
- Our interior line situation was a mess.
- Most of our draft picks (Toney, Smith, Robinson) all missed almost all of training camp.

Agreed! All of their key additions missed most if not all of training camp. If we could have gotten a correct call on that WFT offsides at the end of the game and a couple of less injuries…….we would not be having these discussions.
but just want them to get burn so they can improve and next year is not their rookie year. Plus Elerson Smith, can he get worse than 0 pressures and 0 sacks?

Didn't Golladay say something along that line after the Denver game that the offense will probably have a hard early going?
Why? Will he cover everybody?
well he will have fresh legs going against some of these rundown linemen. We can hope for a diamond in the rough. The giants need a miracle.
