Has always been the linchpin of great Giants teams-we cant stop anyone.
We can win with Jones and an improved OL- I long for the days when we took pride in our D.

I agree that the D absolutely blows
I wanted Josh Allen (the d end), Devon White; and Simmons.
But I still think we need a new QB. Jones is 9-23. How do bounce back from that?
takes out DG....old school JJ...all the scouts....everyone responsible for fielding this abomination has to go with the technical execution Michael Corleone used during that baptism....with gentleman asking for a favor, for old times sake....and lastly......JJ thinking he's heading to the draft with his bags packs ending up kicking our the windshield.
Yea! Let’s neglect the line and draft another qb because clearly QB is the number 1 issue on the roster!
How about fix the fucking line. Even if jones isn’t the answer it makes no sense to take a qb when we literally have 1 offensive lineman who’s worth a damn. You can draft Willis, who I think stinks, or corral and it won’t matter if they are playing behind a shit line. They’ll be mentally damaged. Jones clock sped up the second Thomas went out. First play of the game jones gets destroyed because Nate barely touched Leonard Floyd. Do fans watch the fucking games or you guys just blame the QB for everything.
coaches are coaching for their jobs, and future jobs. Players are playing for theirs. They aren’t going to lose so some fans can be happy to get some college prospect who may or may not be overhyped.
There are a lot of bad teams. Lions, Jags, Jets, Texans, Dolphins.
Giants will likely have a top 6 pick, another top 15 pick, and 5 in the top 70
We could have had Rashawn Slater being the perfect bookend OT to Andrew Thomas last draft but passed on him thinking the current OL was NFL ready...WRONG again DG.
brilliant. ditch the QB who has played well when given any modicum of support for a raw QB from a small school while at the same time not drafting any OL to help him. GREAT PLAN!!

I hope you remember this conversation in 3 years when that kid is lighting up the NFL, and Daniel Jones is fumbling and throwing interceptions

the kid may very well turn out to be a player, but he won't if you bring him here and stick him behind a 1 man OL. And that's only if Andrew Thomas plays. If he's hurt they have nothing.
well you're an idiot. Jones was playing great before the injury.
Playing great, lol. The bar is so low here anymore
In a few years some people on BBI will speak about the 4th quarter of the Saints game with such reverence you will think it was a 30 point rally so win the Superbowl.
Dump Gettleman and forget about best available player
I would have a competent GM draft offensive linemen and pass rushers in the first four rounds. With an O line, this team will score points. With a pass rush, this team's D backs won't have to be any better than they currently are.
EDGE players seem to be very up and down each year
It is hard to be consistent. Edge rushers seem to have a lot of down years. In fact, I don't know that I can point to anyone who has had a great run of 4 to 5 years except perhaps Donald, and he may not technically be Edge.
I remember the repeated and dire warnings from some that we had set ourselves back 10 years by missing on Chase Young.
Win the games you can, sort out the front office, and take the players who are best available for your team. Someone taken in round 2 next year could end up being the best of everyone. We also just got manhandled by a team that seems to put very little value on the top part of the draft.

We only had 10 points with 7 minutes left in the game. And got lucky that the long TD was called back.
We could have had Rashawn Slater being the perfect bookend OT to Andrew Thomas last draft but passed on him thinking the current OL was NFL ready...WRONG again DG.
So you rather have slater than Toney and the bears 1st?
I was as big as any slater supporter I was calling for him over Sewell if we had the pick of either. I knew he’d be a stud and a stud at tackle not guard as many said. Short arms etc nonsense. Dude has the feet of a tight end. Still, I’m all for that trade because this is roster building. We weren’t a tackle away from being a competitive football team. We have a replacement for Shepard who’s young and explosive and now we have what should amount to two top 12 picks
Need to try and lose games? They can play their hearts out the rest of the year and probably end up in the top 3.
Michael Kay made this point yesterday. They have the worst record since 2017 and they've been trying!
As far as Jones is concerned, he could be playing in the CFL in 3 years and I'm sure there will be posters here mad that we got rid of the "franchise" QB.
QB is not even 3rd on the list of greatest weaknesses or needs
We could have had Rashawn Slater being the perfect bookend OT to Andrew Thomas last draft but passed on him thinking the current OL was NFL ready...WRONG again DG.
So you rather have slater than Toney and the bears 1st?
I would - yes. Here's why. We pretty much know right now what Slater is. And that is a player trending to be a Pro Bowl/All Pro caliber. With AT showing well, we would have a terrific set of bookend tackles. Or wherever you want to put Slater. After a decade of failing to find OL solutions, you wouldn't sign for that??
Slater is a proven asset right now. So give me that right now over two first round picks where you are hoping to make the best guess possible.
well you're an idiot. Jones was playing great before the injury.

Well I think you’re an idiot. Let’s look at Jones career stats
Thibodeaux is a better prospect.

He’s a great player. And maybe we get him and someone who can help us score. We just can’t get the fucking ball in the end zone.

I like Malik Willis, but he’s not a #1 overall pick type of prospect. Thibodeaux is.

We can't win with Jones. He's atrocious.

I don't think we have to worry about the Giants doing THAT.
The Lions are not intentionally losing games they could win. They may be a bad team but I fully believe Campbell would resign if asked to throw games.

They had no trouble scoring in 2019 when they didn't have Garrett as his OC

so put the same offensive line behind a rookie QB? That seems like it would work out...

The offensive line would be behind him because he’ll be 20 yards downfield before you blink
Again I’ll say what I said earlier in the thread. Talk to me in 3 years when Malik Willis is tearing it up and Daniel Jones is still not scoring TDs

Not to play what they call football these days.
