If the 2022 Draft were to be held today, this is how the Draft order would unfold (see link at bottom). And as GBN notes: "...the strength of schedule numbers are for a team’s full 17-game schedule and not just the teams played to date."
Things are starting to look up for the Giants as they are now in the 5-hole, as well as moving up from 23 to 16 with the Bears pick.
The Giants current strength of schedule (.515) cuts two ways. On the one hand, it currently pushes them down to the fifth overall selection, which is behind three other teams at 1-5 whose respective schedules are easier than the Giants.
On the other hand, the strength of schedule implies that the teams immediately in front of the Giants have a better chance of picking up a few random victories here and there. In contrast, the Giants brutal season will stay that way as they face several superior opponents in the weeks to come.
Recently, the Pro Football Network generated a 7-Round Mock Draft (after Game 5). Here are the Giants selections:
https://www.profootballnetwork.com/2022-nfl-mock-draft-cummings-october/
Round One #7: Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
Round One #22: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State
Round Two #38: Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
Round Three #67: Lecitus Smith, G, Virginia Tech
Round Three #69: Jalen Wydermyer, TE, Texas A& M
Round Four #121: Kyren Williams, RB, Notre Dame
Round Five #145: Kaleb Eleby, QB, Western Michigan
Round Five #154: Sam Williams, EDGE, Ole Miss
Round Six #186: Cory Durden, DT, NC State
Round Seven #226: Bo Melton, WR, Rutgers
Two quick notes. Jalen Wydermyer is a load. Not sure Giants actually have a 7th Rounder.

Yep. He is an instant upgrade the second the Giants send up the card with his name on it.
Yes. Probably will go in the first round.

7.

LB Utah

67.
Trevor Penning
OT Northern Iowa

Went the following:
7: Malik Willis
22: Hutchinson (won't be there, they have him ranked too low_
38: OT Sean Rhyan
67: DT Jordan Davis (too low as well IMO)
69: OT Trevor Penning (I figure one of the OTs moves to G)
121: OC Alex Forsyth
145: LB Zakoby McClain
154 DT Phidarian Mathis
186 RB Kennedy Brooks
226 TE Braden Galloway
In short, I think it needs to be a draft strong on OT, DT, and edge. If they have a QB that falls to them that they love, a good opportunity to take one as well. I like Jones, I just think they should take advantage of the rookie contract again if they can. They have wasted Jones'

Huge Malik Willis fan hear! If the Giants move on from Daniel Jones, this is the guy we need to pick.
Yea the second I saw that I dismissed the entire thing. Makes no sense how he lasts to round 3. He’s a lock to go in round 1
Draft order should get better as that most of the other 1-5 teams are playing each other so somebody has to win.
3rd is certainly in reach, just a matter of what Chicago does. Looks like probably 7-10 for a 12th-15?

Well the Bear's schedule gets harder in the second half so hoping for a complete melt down, throw in some injuries etc. Still feel good about top 10.
The good news is some of the 1 win teams play each other, or 2 win teams.
December is going to be the key. On the 5th the Giants go to Miami, and the Colts go to Houston, then the Texans are at Jax on the 19th, and the Jags are at the Jets on the 26th. And the last week of the season we host WFT and the Colts are in Jacksonville.
The Jets, Texans and Dolphins each have 3 games against 1 win teams (mostly each other, 1 is against us), and at least once each against 2 win teams.
My guess right now is Lions, Texans, Giants. Unfortunately, the Lions need help at OL, DL and secondary (sound familiar?)
And for those interested, here is who the Bears have left: at TB, 49ers, at Pitt, Ravens, at Lions, Cardinals, at Pack, Vikings, at Seahawks, Giants, at Vikings. Figure one solid win (Lions), and six probable losses, seven if Wilson is back for the Seahawks. That leaves the two Vikings games and 49ers. Wish that game was in San Fran. My guess is 6-11, maybe 7-10.

I like Willis skill set a lot, better than Corral. But I think he is a guy who will need a little time since he's raw and coming from a small school (sort of like Lance). We would need to either keep Jones around, or get some veteran guy (like the Bears did with Dalton)

the only thing I'm paying attention to outside of Gettleman not buying at the deadline which would come of no surprise.

Hopefully but I don't trust several of the teams on Chicago's schedule. I could see them winning too many of those just because it's how things are going. :)
