Sixers say Ben Simmons has been suspended for one game due to conduct detrimental to the team. As a result, Simmons will miss the 76ers’ season opener at New Orleans tomorrow night.
and i have been saying this forever, the dude does not give a shit about basketball or getting better..
Send him to minnesota and lets see him rot..
Spot on and you have been on this for awhile. It goes back to his year at LSU. He couldn't even get that team in to the tournament...
At this point he may be truly untouchable. Would you give up any value to trade for him at this point? He's pulling this shit on a team that has a chance to win a title with a legendary head coach.
Unless they ask is dirt cheap I can't see how a team trades for him...
He was spot on in terms of Simmons. I defended Ben more, but nope. He is who he is. And his pass in Game 7 instead of taking the layup dunk...unforgivable.

Two teams incould see: Kings and Twolves..
Kings because that owner is obsessed with getting a star there, even though he has one in Fox but he doesnt give him anything to work with..
Twolves because they have to do something because soon Towns is going to ask out..
says the Sixers still expect a "star" for Simmons lol
Morey is delusional at this point and Rivers didnt help the situation throwing Simmons under the bus last year and then saying he didnt do anything wrong..
Simmons is a prick and a baby but its hard whem your coach basically bad mouths you to the media
@wojespn
Sixers' approach on a trade has remained steadfast: They won't move Simmons for role players -- only a player who'll help keep them a championship contender. That hasn't changed. For now, no one should expect a speedy resolution on Simmons' future in Philadelphia.
Dame just came out and flat out said he's staying in Portland (more definitive than ever). Things obviously can change but I don't see that happening any time soon... not to mention Lillard for Simmons would be absurd
Morey went on Philly radio this afternoon & said this could drag on for 4 years, the length of Simmons' contract in Philly & that they aren't trading him for the sake of trading him. Morey indicated they want equal value. And who the hell knows what that is anymore?
To quote TO, get ya popcorn ready.
Simmons is handling this completely wrong. I'm really starting to wonder about his love of the game. There's always been whispers he's more interested in the lifestyle than the actual game. This charade isn't helping matters.
coupled with all his BS definitely points towards not really giving a shit. I love what the 76ers are doing - basically saying fuck you and we aren't caving.

The 76ers are 100% in the right here. I just don't know how long this circus is sustainable before it starts to just overwhelm & distract the team. Lucky for Philly, they're a pretty vet heavy team with an experienced coach.
"fuck this guy, we don't need him" puts a chip on your shoulder. I think stuff like this is a bigger deal in the NFL where running a program of so many players and coaches means you can't afford shit like this. But the NBA is so player driven I bet they can tune it out, especially since they have already been doing it for quite some time.

Morey actually called it a uniting factor earlier today. Apparently Embiid took the team out for a night in New Orleans after the game. I don't think you can't bank on that lasting though.

There is video of him walking off the court like an ass.
I know Morey wants to get another star for him, but I really think he needs to just do what it takes to move him.
Simmons should file a grievance with the players union. Make this as painful as possible for Philly and out more pressure on them.

Simmons is not vaccinate
If true, embarrassing.

I wouodnt touch Simmons even if it ia for Peanuts
It would mean two non shooters on the floor, but it would give Simmons more of a lane to work with.
What did Embiid say?
Quote:
I loved how Embiid was so honest when he was talking about Simmons today.
What did Embiid say?
Joel Embiid on Simmons: “At this point I don’t care about that man, honestly. He does whatever he wants”

Which is the correct way to handle it if the owners want to stop the temper tantrum BS ...
