I know Sills isn't exactly the hero we were hoping he'd be in camp but its interesting to me they'd leave him on the practice squad in favor of signing a similar sized guys who's total NFL experience is 2 preseason catches and I don't think was on a practice squad.

They promoted Colin Johnson and Pettis over Sills. Not sure his future here is as bright as a lot of us liked to think in preseason.
I assume this signing is to replace Board. I guess that means the Giants have seen enough of Pettis to not want to promote him to the 53. Sills was never going to be promoted. As someone said, the Giants signed Johnson and made Pettis active twice instead of Sills.

Colin Johnson was a waiver claim from another team and Pettis has return/specials experience, so not exactly the same. Either way it does look as if this kid is going to the practice squad. It just seemed odd given his experience that he’d go right to the active roster.
Give all the fans a break..Bring the kid up for 2 games..If he can't do the job,cut him..If he plays better then his talent suggests,keep him..If you ask me,this kid can play..I have seen him here at WVU...He is not so fast,not that big,but I think his heart weighs 25lbs..Sometimes,that is all a man needs to be very good..So let him try JJ !!
