So basically the Giants' WR corps for Sunday figures to be Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Collin Johnson, Dante Pettis and ... Maybe David Sills promoted from the practice squad? The Giants did protect him this week.

On practice field anyway. Judge says unrealistic to expect a rookie who has never practiced to play on Sunday.

Who is the "they" in your statement? The issue with selling off talent is the returns we'd be looking for are future draft picks which doesn't benefit those making the trades if they won't be here come draft day.

This is what happens when the team starts 1-5...half are injured
and the other half aren't interested in playing for the Giants anymore.

Joe Judge indicated that it'll be a little while before they become a consideration on game day.
For Smith, he hasn't played in two years.

Losing the salary and getting anything is a plus. We aren't going anywhere this year and he isn't coming back next year.
