Updated odds on head coaches to be fired

business being a head coach (nice guy or not) is Culley. The Texans tanked this season on purpose with a sacrificial lamb as a head coach.

pretty damn good HCs IMO. Zac Taylor’s Bengals are also playing pretty damn good right now?! How did they even get on this potential list of HCs to be fired? It’s a head scratcher.

Things have been mighty quiet on the Urban front; which leads me to believe he will survive his indiscretion. Especially since they were able to pull out a win on the heals of everything that transpired.

I don't care what his record ends up being.



One guy that I wonder if he will retire or not is Andy Reid?

Also, the Raiders will have a job opening.

Obviously these guys aren't on the list because its a list of who will be fired.

Flores, Fangio, and even Zimmer are in real trouble unless they turn it around. I think Fangio needs a playoff berth, with Paton the new GM there and new de facto decision maker.

I'm not so sure Culley gets heave-ho. Texans are likely to be rebuilding still next year and he's gotten Texans playing competitive in several games (they've been more competitive than the Giants). He's also plaudited for being a good teacher with young players which Texans will have lots of next year.

Nagy is close to a lock now given his bungling of the Fields/Dalton situation over several weeks (ie, not once but twice, and then putting a gameplan and offensive line protection scheme that nearly got Fields injured).

Good bet, you'll have at least five openings, possibly evolving over rest of season to seven.

and not fire Gettleman and Judge. Judge has shown little or nothing as a head coach. Gettleman just does not have a plan. I think Judge may be the worst out of the last 3 we had and the other 2 only lasted 2 years. Would probably love to have him as a coordinator but not head coach material.

I think the Gruden thing bumped him out of the headlines.

At even odds. It all depends on if the Jags have a moral clause in their contract with him. If they do he is toast

Judge is an awful coach.
If the Giants want to bring in a GM who was not a crony with the Pats they will need to let the GM pick a new coach.

And what are the odds of that actually happening?

By late season victories against teams that quit and back up QBs made them think they found their guy. They spent the offseason patting themselves on the back for getting the head coach right.

Premature celebration.

We need a win mandate.

Not a feel better mandate.

You know why they are so reluctant to issue a win mandate?

The media will ask them when they are going to hold themselves accountable.

That is the problem, when the top is not held accountable it eventually trickles down and permeates an entire organization.

The family should all quit their positions, hire the best people to do their jobs, then, hold those people accountable for performance.

That will then trickle down through the entire organization and the problem will get fixed.

room you absolutely can't fire Judge. We aren't doing this thing where we hire a coach every 2 seasons.
