Partial human remains were reportedly located in a Florida nature park where authorities have searched for Brian Laundrie, and a medical examiner has responded to the area, in the search for the fugitive wanted in the Gabby Petito case.
The discovery of remains comes after some items belonging to Laundrie were found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.
Law enforcement sources told NBC News that the remains were found in a section of the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park that had previously been underwater due to heavy rains.
A cadaver dog also has been deployed to the scene, CNN reported. A tent was set up in the area, according to chopper video posted by a reporter for News Nation Now.
(Please note, they have not identified the remains as his yet)

I was hoping he would be found alive...but agree
that this whole thing needs to go away.

unbelievable.
5 bodies that are directly connected to him? or 5 bodies that they just happened to come across during the search?
That is a crazy stat at least some cold cases will hopefully get solved as well

I don't know if Gidiefor did it on purpose or if they misunderstood themselves, but it was five bodies not at all connected to the Laundrie-Petito case that just happened to be found while searching areas that the couple had been seen. So no, not other people that Laundrie had murdered.
+1
law enforcement found his belongings, not his parents. His parents just confirmed they were his.

The FBI and local police have been searching the park for 5 weeks and have found nothing. His parents walk into the park this morning, find his personal belongings and human remains within hours. How does that happen? This is getting weirder and weirder.

My apologies, it does sound like the parents did in fact find some of his belongings. Which doesn't say much for the FBI/LE who had been searching for weeks.

NEW: Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino says Chris and Roberta and 2 officers were spread out on either side of the trail. He says Chris found a bag containing some of Brian's items -- and officers found the backpack on the other side of trail which was near the remains.
Was one of them the Russian that Paulie and Christopher were supposed to take care of? I think they last saw him running south.

The autopsy will determine whether Paulie actually hit him in the head or not.
This will settle the 20 year debate haha.
It's really not, the media just makes sure we hear about any negative thing that happens.

Speaking on that talking point...
How come there was no long drawn out media coverage of the other 5 missing persons/bodies they found while searching for one particular dude?
Those people were missing too. Probably not murderers and the context is completely different I understand that...
But the girl was missing at one point and holy shit the whole world was forced to be riveted by constant headlines and futile updates...
Weren't those other 5 bodies they found also missing people who also had stories of their own? What made this story worth being thrust into our face over all the other "man kills woman, on the run, cant be found" stories?
Maybe that is a discussion not meant for this page.

Yes. How dare they report news. You’d think it’s their job or something.
Supposedly, they couldn't canvas the area the parents thought he may have gone to - because it was flooded up until recently.

Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Heres Tom with the Weather.
If there is even a .001% chance the body is not his, we will have 'Brian Laundrie sighting....' reports for the next 10 years.

People go missing all of the time. Many don't have family that care that they are missing so no one may even know.
It's not often that a couple blogging their road trip on social media, where the person goes missing. Add in the cops video of them being questioned and the fact the fiance just went home with her van and the girl was missing adds all kinds of intrigue and interest. Then the fiance goes on the lamb, hiding in the Florida swamps where he may have been eaten by gators.
If you can't understand how that's different then you just don't get things.
but if i am not mistaken, i think they found pieces of a body. if thats the case, how could he do that on his own?
baffling shit here

There are a ton of alligators in that park. That's the best explanation I can make, maybe he offed himself and the gators got to him. Otherwise, this case is getting weirder and weirder.

In that area it’s very possible that his body was torn up by gators which would explain it being in pieces
But with the addition of gators possibly tearing his body apart... I'm interested in the story now.
I think if they found body parts and it's likely an animal that caused the body to be in parts (which was most likely done posthumously) it's maybe more likely a bear, coyote, or even a feral hog.
just my guess.

We have learned the remains found in the Carlton Reserve were "skeletal remains."
"Bones."

How on earth could the body have decomposed that quickly? All that's left is skeletal remains?

All the non-skeletal material was eaten by animals?

No worries. It seems very sketchy that the parents who have been uncooperative since day 1, walk into the park and find his belongings and remains less than 24 hours after it was reopened. Then their attorney with zero evidence comes out publicly say it's a strong possibility the remains are his. Case closed, no need to look for him anymore we found him. It seems contrived to me.

Laundrie parents have been informed the remains are Brian's, according to their attorney.
The FBI said it, using the evidence of the remains and his dental records. Maybe he was playing a long game, and tampered with his dentist's files months ago, but other than that...
it does seem a little sketchy though and I'd want something more than dental records, with the other remains I'm sure there is a way to test DNA and confirm it's him and not just his teeth.

Sad story, bizarre end. He went into the park a huge piece of shit and became a lot of little pieces of shit.
