Despite the possibility that a new environment with less scrutiny could help his career, Engram has zero interest in jumping ship.
"I'm not the type of person to want to tap out or be anywhere else just because there's some adversity or things that aren't going the way we want them to go in general," Engram told Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News. "So, of course, I want to be here. It's my job to be here. It's my job to come in here and work. This team is my family, we're in adversity and going to war and trying to fix this thing. So yes, I want to be here, and I really don't want to be asked. That shouldn't be a question to anybody here." |
Now show it on the field. Stop making mistakes, stop failing when the game is on the line. FINISH.
I have news for you all, the team won't stop losing if/when Engram is dealt or dumped. He's an OK move TE that likely plays better in a functional offense. Don't say I didn't warn when the day comes he's putting up 70-7-600 in his sleep.

Completely agree with this. The amount of hate EE gets on BBI is so beyond parody. He's a flawed player who got overdrafted, but now we have Jones throwing a pick into triple coverage, but somehow it was Engram's fault.
Shedding bad football players like Engram is part of the path to stop losing.
Getting something for him at this point only makes it a slam dunk...
We need to cure the stench of losing and that comes from pruning "losing" players from the roster. If you are more known for the flubs that lead to losses than plays that lead to wins then it is time you move on..
Let this be Gettleman's final deal. An actual good one.
In fact, he can go with him...
I don't have any stats to back it up, but it seems to me that most of his catches this season have been in garbage time.
Exactly. The dislike is justified. I have been watching the Giants for 30+ years. I have never seen a position player be the cause of so many turnovers and bad plays.
And it wasn't just last year. It was all through Eli's later years as well.
As long as the Mara's don't let Gettleman do anything really stupid in the next few weeks the Giants have plenty of draft capital for 2022.
Compensatory Draft Picks Cancellation Chart - ( New Window )
anyone paying attention knows he is not Great athlete. PFF was mocking him how slow he was earlier in the year. The dude sucks in every way.
No way in hell are they traded for that. 5th is the lowest, 4th is likely what they would want. Giants are already against the cap next year, so they will likely be getting comp picks in 2023.
he's afraid of being physical, of being hit
This is why he looks so good in practice, he's never going to get lit up by his own team. That's why he sucks at blocking, he doesn't want to hit or be hit.
Perfect.
