I'm going to West Point to see Army play No. 16 Wake Forest on Saturday. I don't follow college football that closely, so any players I should keep an eye on?
There's nothing like watching the Black Knights at Michie Stadium on an October Saturday.
Back in 2011 I saw Army play Tulane and this kid named Orleans Darkwa had a big game for the Green Wave. I don't think anybody in attendance that day had any idea he'd be playing for the Giants in a few short years. You never know.
I will be there as well tomorrow. Nothing beats the West Point experience. Started going on a annual basis to at least one game a year once I gave up my Giants tix when I refused to pay the take it in the ass PSL.
So much better overall better experience IMHO I fell in love going. I also work for the US Army and work with the Cadets majoring in engineering each year with there senior projects so going to the games takes on a bigger rooting meaning for me as well.
Enjoy the game tomorrow.
GO ARMY BEAT NAVY!!!!!
2nd Team All ACC in 2020. Speed guy that has a solid catch radius.
Projected to be a mid to late rounder.
DT #11 / Fox
Undersized but a tough guy to handle. Nice user of leverage and short area quickness. Penetrator. Borderline late rounder, likely a preferred free agent. Not a scheme fit for some teams.
CB #6 / Taylor
Might be too undersized for draft able, but I like this kid's style a lot. Plays a tough game, anticipates well. If his speed is good enough (4.45?)...he can be a late pick. Having a good year. Jersey kid.
LB #12 / Masterson
Former safety. Has had shoulder issues. Not sure he will time fast enough but a smart player, has special teamer written all over him.
Can't make tomorrows game but will root hard watching on CBSSports. Anyone going arrive early. Game is a sellout - so tons of people and the roads really can't handle the volume around post. This means greater backup going through security outside the stadium & this year they have mobile tickets for first time so expect back up getting into stadium.
Best place to spend a Fall Saturday though.
Parade at 9, game at 12, long tailgate after the game.
I've been going with a group of guys (25 of us this year) to a game at West Point for the last 10 years at least. Always a good day.
As it happens, one of my high school friends became Commandant of the Corps of Cadets in 1999. And the nephew of one of my law partners is Andrew Rodriguez, who won the Sullivan Award a few years ago and is on the Ring of Honor with Pete Dawkins, Doc Blanchard, Glenn Davis and others. Just a little name dropping there.
I graduated from Marist College years ago which is about 30 miles from West Point and with similar views of the river. This is a great time of the year to be in the Mid Hudson Valley.

Couple other UDFA types:
#50 OT / Tom
#23 TE / Chapman
#5 LB / Smenda
I've gone to a few games there taking a boat from the Atlantic Highland in NJ up the Hudson. Booze cruise + fall foliage...helluva good time.

QB Sam Hartman isn’t half-bad but prob not quite NFL material.

BTW, so much fun watching Army's multi-headed, multi-faceted run game. It's something out of the 1930s!
