If you think otherwise you don't know a thing about evaluating a QB. The problems are not with Jones but scheme, O-line, injuries & consistency with a starting lineup on Offense. Jones has a ton of talent and it shows every week.

If the Jets got a second for him we could likely get the same or > at this point for Jones.
But we knew that coming in. Darnold’s technique weaknesses and penchant for turnovers may prevent him from a career as a backup, like bw said. I mean, if you’re a head coach, do you really want a turnover machine waiting on deck if your starter gives down?
Carolina’s decision to move from Bridgewater - a savvy high level game manager - and roll the dice with Darnold appears to be a mistake, given their decision to emphasize defense and ball control. Really questionable thinking there.

People sometimes want to bash Jones. We can only wish we had a receiver like DJ Moore for every game. We play with ham and eggers and Jones still gets it done. OL is so bad (current state) it’s laughable.

Maybe in your view but no I don’t agree with that. I’ve seen darnold play on a 1 winnjets and play great against a tough raiders team. I’ve never seen jones do anything like that. Instead he pretty much plays awful like he did against the cowboys or rams or any good team for that matter
