against a good team. Daniel Jones slowly pulled the Giants in a Red Rider wagon. 203 yards and a TD ain't gonna beat many teams in this league. We just got lucky the Panthers didn't show up.
Using Stats as a knock on him so so incredibly dumb on a day like today.
He had several runs that kept the offense moving, he had a 15 yard catch that was great, and in the 4th Quarter they were mostly just running the ball to eat clock . They were also playing without their 4 top guys in Toney, Golladay, Shepard, and Barkley.
He did everything he needed and possibly could do to win the game today
He was without his LT, LG, C, Golladay, Barkley, Toney, and Shepard but yea he should have thrown for 500 yards and 5 TD's with the dynamic receiving corps of Slayton, Pettis, Ross, Sills, and the amazing Collin Johnson.

And how many teams with the injuries the Giants have win? Our best weapon was Darius Slayton. Slayton is a mediocre #2, and an excellent #3. He had no one this game. The Panthers didn't not show up, they're just not very good.

Having Ja’Marr Chase abuse the Baltimore D might have had something to do with Burrow’s success today
the Saints. He passed for, what I forget, oh yeah 403 YARDS! He played exactly how he had to today, with the cast around him and if he could have stepped into that long throw to Slayton, he would have had 2 TDs and 250 yards passing.
No one can say how good he can be. There are a bunch of problems on this team. They have time to make a final decision on him. Work on the other issues.

Did you actually watch that game? His TD passes one was a 10 yard pass to Chase who Chase broke a few tackles to go 80 yards. Nothing special by Burrow. The first uzumoh Td was a punt throw that he got under made a defender miss and took off to the end zone. How many TDs have the Giants WRs taken in the end zone this year? More than just looking at a box score.
And the fact we controlled the ball and had sustained drives is all due to jones both passing and running. He played a flawless game and didn’t get much help
And catching. Don't forget that Odell'esque catch by the big man.
Had a stud to throw the ball two and a few other really good receivers if you know what you are talking about. Who does Jones have? He had to throw slants all day cause there was no time to run routes or he had to throw on the run with rollouts. Coaches finally did a good job and recognized this.
Bill I agree wholeheartedly but be careful my freind
The leaders of the anti jones Cabal are laying low and licking their wounds. Too many posts like this and when they recover they will wreak a terrible vengeance upon any who give him any praise. Let them cower in their layer for a little while

When the score is 25-3 it will beat every team out there.
Is playing without their star RB, 3 best WR, 3 starting OL. Give Jones a break. The production was just fine. Sure Carolina aren't very good. But the D finally played and Jones produced more offense than could be expected, given the personnel.

Congrats your comments keep getting dumber and dumber and it was hard to top them from being so dumb from the start. Just wow. The Panthers suck!!!! We're lucky that they suck and played a shitty game away from home????
Let me dumb it down for you. Shitty teams tend to play shitty especially away from home. It's not "lucky" they suck.
Banks pointed out Jones threw all the passes, led the team in rushing, and made the best catch of the season.
DJ did it all today and it helped that defense had a good game against Darnold. Until someone comes along who we can draft who is clearly better we will keep him. Work on the OL and pass rushers.
This is a game to build on — he played well as he did against New Orleans.
My recommendation to fellow Jones fans is to be happy he did well and not spend so much energy on I told you so’s.
1) He’s got a long way to go 2) It makes you look like a weenie.
What about the ones that are mostly silent after the Wash Game, after the N.O. game and after this game but come out in droves after the others?
I think the satisfaction of being a fan is based on being able to complain after the losses, and revel after the wins.
I think the lowest form of debate and interaction is putting words in anonymous people’s mouths, and then running head first into the straw men. That’s a dangerous proposition — often times right behind that straw man is a decent sized cliff.

Well done Dave, well done!🙌

If they come after me, I'll just hide on the cooking threads :)

I think excusing one's behavior and dismissing them vs/ while tearing into another's behavior just because it doesn't support the narrative of the excuser is about as low as one can get - for those that do that.
If Jones is part of the solution moving forward? He has 10 more games with weapons hopefully coming back to prove it. The goal right now should be keeping it going against a struggling KC team.
fans were calling for Brady to retire after the game they got stomped in Kansas City a few years ago. Bill shuffles the line, they kick Cincinnati's ass and it's off to the races.
And he’s obviously still improving. Many posts talk about what he is in definitive terms but I don’t think we know yet how good he’ll end up being. Some guys take a little longer than others.
Who wants to engage in a total rebuild paying an average QB
Stop being obtuse. How about commenting on my question?
To me, the question is practically settled. The Giants need to start looking for another QB and it isn’t because Jones sucks, it’s because he is NOT a great player.
Not much more to take from this.

And Mahomes
Quite a lot in the pocket!

Jackson didn’t even compete 50% of his passes, so I think you can say Jones was better based on stats.
I’ve been saying it for weeks!

Of course you havings morons on this site babling about Joe Burrow, which has nothing to do with this thread.
At this point it's more like a 3rd and 4th string line.
And the first string line had question marks.

I'm still not sure what we have in Jones and I'm skeptical, but at least he took a big step forward today.

Anyone say yes to that?

IS it? I understand that if Giants kept him through 2023 his salary would only be around $20m. Not 30.
