Williams and Lawrence played out of their minds today and darnold is atrocious. Ojulari had a few clean up type pressures and his work came agains the backup tackle. When he was up against moton he didn’t do much.

To be clear, this is still a LOT better than what they've been getting from their edge until this week. They haven't even been making the plays they are supposed to.

Williams and Lawrence played great, but why is it only Ojulari that benefited? I don't see Carter with 2 sacks this game. Ojulari has a nose for the ball. Some players just end up in the right spot. Also, don't take away his solid run defense as well.
McKinney and Ojalari were all really good. The defense, finally, played good assignment football. This is what we thought we were getting coming into this year. Yeah, I know Darnold is crap, and the Panthers were missing their LT, but I'm talking about playing their assignments, being prepared, keeping their gap responsibilities against the run. About f-ing time!

Ojulari's 5.5 makes him the Sack leader for the 2021 Rookie class:
Throw in Moa and they all need to get more snaps going forward. Put Shelton out to pasture and cutback on Austin Johnsons’ reps. It’s tine to let the puppies grow up.

LOL and you know this after 7 games? I bet you said the same thing with Chase Young last year, right? He sucks?

sure you go with that.
He played very well and showed his speed of the corner.
And your loving the results. The games prior where he can’t win a 1 v 1 all are disappointed. He’s not a special talent. He’s a solid player. Can he get better, sure he can. I saw it on college when all of you wanted him at 11! Today He benefited from Lawrence and Williams pushing the picket and going up against a backup shitty tackle while darnold holds onto the football. Being a fan makes you overrate your own players.
I was also mocked for saying I’d take slater over Sewell. Let’s see how that pans out. So far I don’t look so stupid

Nope. Been saying young is the 3rd best player in their front 7 and that’s accurate. Allen, Payne and sweat are better players
Pass rusher looks a lot better when you know they aren’t running it and your timing the snap. Pin your ears back and go….against a backup tackle. Like the poster said above. Let’s see him vs real nfl starting talent. I’m a die hard fan and season ticket holder. I’m not anti Ojulari I hope he succeeds big time. I just don’t see it. I honestly see him as an edge2 type or rotational piece down the line. I hope I’m wrong and he’s the next TJ watt
Yes, he played against a back up tackle. Yes, the Panthers were in passing mode most of the game. Yes, he was there to mop up on a couple plays. All those things considered, this game is still a huge confidence boost for him and with a young rookie, confidence is important.

The best part about today was Ojulari and Adoree' Jackson playing well.

Comparing players in the NFL is a fool's game. But Shaq Barrett had a total of 14 sacks in his first 4 seasons.

4 - Darrell Taylor
3 - Gregory Rousseau
1.5 - Jaelean Philips
0 - Kwity Paye
Too bad none of these guys will be more than "solid".

Was that trade made to save money?

they weren't really using him anyway. Seems like the second he got back to Arizona he became a productive rusher again.
Roche ... darn autocorrect.

Better yet, Fackrell.
Had to be, otherwise the comment was moronic.
Lawrence was an absolute beast. Panthers had no answer for him.
Williams made plays but is usually pretty active. He may have showed up more today as he got help.
Azeez showed the best burst I've seen from him. The one sack it looked like he was shot out of a cannon.
I thought Carter made some plays in the run and against the pass and Roche looked solid enough to be in the rotation.
His brother, btw, is a sophomore at LSU - BJ - and he's having a great year as their Edge rusher.
sure you go with that.

His brother is a legit prospect. Much better than azeez and will easily be drafted top 20

He just might be. A lot there to like so far.
