The Panthers are an awful team who had a lot of injuries like us. The reality we aren’t nearly this good. And wins like this are false realities that may keep the wrong people in charge.
If this win led to a playoff potential, it would be great - but I have a feeling a lot of false sense of realities will kick in.
We know they are not good, but when you have this many injuries and you win that is pretty good.
Agree. Can't Giants fans just enjoy a win. I don't think anyone is overestimating what this win is.
I was about to write the same thing.
Seriously, some people are never happy
The Giants had a struggling defense, their LT and C out, Barkley absent, and three of their most reliable receivers out. And won by 22.
Yes, because losing out on Chase Young for Andrew Thomas sure set the team back.
"yeah I got laid last night.. but she was fugly"
-Ish victory in ages
LOL
Who gives a shit about draft position ? They drafted Toney at 20 and Ojulari at 51 . Both guys look really good so far . If you are good at drafting it doesn't matter where you draft
haha
The interior of the OL still sucks but this win was a step in the right direction.
I disagree - winning football games is critical to help reverse a culture of losing. Much more important than draft position.
This. The Panthers are not an awful team. They are struggling as of late but they are well coached and have talent on both sides of the ball. Today was a solid win.
In a lost season, you hope to see growth- especially from the young players. Ojulari, Williams, Lawrence, and McKinney are 4 core players on this defense and they balled today.
Offensively, it was a bit ugly but Jones played well with not much help. At least we have the return of Barkley, Toney, Thomas, Golladay, and Shepard to look forward to on that side of the ball.
Personally, I’m pleased that they won and did so by a significant margin
Garrett did what we expect a good OC to do. Play to what your offense "CAN DO", moving the pocket, quick throws, some power zone runs. Don't let Jones be a sitting duck.
The "toxic" Coach is the one that got the team to rally itself after last week's blowout and beat the guy that all the "experts" said the Panthers beat the Giants out of for HC.
It may turn out to be a one off win, but if ever a team and coach needed a win, it was this team and this staff. None of which should prevent the GM from losing his job at year's end, if not sooner.

The coach is still toxic,no change in that department

That's one way of putting it.The Giants were the Giants. There's nothing they did today which they haven't done all year. With the exception of the Jones Hospital ball.
Shit pig of a post.
And BTW, on Pro Football Talk every week Chris Simms has been talking up the Panthers as a good team not to be overlooked.
Sorry. Not a rah rah guy. Just realizing this win doesn’t change the direction of the franchise.
It’s like not winning at all. 😢

Rooting for draft position in October makes you a shitty fan.
