the Giants re-sign Judge and Gettleman to continue the rebuilding. If for no other reason than to piss of the trolls on this sight. BBI used to be a great sight for information, Now fans can't filter through the whining, even after a win.
The sight is becoming hard to bare.

Who is going to hire that guy. The same guy who hired Gettleman. Why would the guy who hired Gettleman hiring a guy to hire another guy be any better than just hiring the right guy. It always has to come back to the owner.

I agree... and a czar has virtually no accountability. Not ultimately responsible for anything.
we've hired 3 head coaches in a row who previously had a very low number of wins between them. we hired a GM whose previous success as a GM was debatable and who has been a clear failure in his run with us.
let's hire people who have clearly been successful in the past.
Collinsworth might know football but he has never managed an organization, a budget, etc. When hiring an executive it's important to hire somebody who has previously had to live with and learn from their mistakes.
I’ll go out there with a truly groundbreaking suggestion:
They hire an experienced Asst GM from one if several high performing front offices in the NFL, someone who knows what a FO is supposed to do, and let that person do their work.
None of the Giants owners own 50% of the team. The Tisch and Mara families own the team, 50% for each family. They constitute a “Board of Directors” as it were. If they were to get together they could vote John Mara out of the team presidency and install a different team president who wouldn’t have to be from ownership. The problem is do you trust them to pick a competent person. Why would their judgement, given most know nothing about running a football team, be any better than what we have. The ownership makeup of the Giants is problematic. That’s the reality.

Spot on. Our ownership situation is the only one of it's kind in the NFL. I don't think there's another one like it in any other North American sport for that matter, unless I'm mistaken.
Seeing the Giants throw a ton of money at Ozzie Newsome to come out of his Semi Retirement role to help reshape the Giants front office. Sort of like the Clippers did with Jerry West.
The sight is becoming hard to bare.

An astounding idea, I know.
