I am not a big follower of CFB, but I love to read up on the draft. No matter what time of year it is, the draft is always a topic that I find interesting.
With that said and with the Giants having (potentially) 2 picks in the top 12-15 in round 1, I wanted to ask you guys about the players that have peeked my interest the most:
Round 1
Tyler Linderbaum, OC, Iowa
Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A& M
Aiden Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan
George Karloftic, Edge, Purdue
Round 2
Lewis Cine, S, Georgia
Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
I don't think we will be in a position to draft Kayvon T.so I did not list him here.
Would love to hear from the site experts on these guys.
My uneducated hope is we can walk away with a combination of the above.
Round 1
Tyler Linderbaum, OC, Iowa -9
Kenyon Green, OG, Texas A& M -10
Aiden Hutchinson, Edge, Michigan -21
George Karloftic, Edge, Purdue -6
Round 2
Lewis Cine, S, Georgia - not in top 100
Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah - 49
These are nothing definitive and I’ve see Hutchinson raked as high as 3. It does seem there are a few top edge guys and OG that could be there for us. I’d take edge guys like Hutchinson in a heartbeat or Karlaftis. That’s what I think the priority player should be. Maybe if we get the edge and OL in round 1 your LB would be a nice round 2 pick.
The LB in round 2 seems like he has improved every year, has speed, tackles in the 3 digits for 2 years now and is a team leader.
I would love an edge guy with the top pick, the center with the second pick and the LB with the third pick.
Not that it means much...

And with Hutchinson sitting there. He better be pretty darn good.
Linderbaum is the real deal at C. A stud. Very, very athletic and you’ve got to love the Iowa pipeline for OLs. One of the factories for producing NFL OLs.
Hutch is okay, but Michigan hasn’t really played anymore yet. Eager to see him against Mich St, Penn St and Ohio State. Especially Ohio State and their excellent LT Petit-Frere.
Really like Karlaftis. Off to a slow start but has come on of late. I see a little TJ Watt at times with his variety and relentless nature. Pretty high ceiling guy…
With the way things are shaking out I'm sure it will be a very popular pre-draft take that the Giants should hope to get one of the top 3 EDGE prospects and best available OL with their two 1sts, and likely in that order. I have no expertise on any of these prospects but would love for value to meet need and the Giants to grab two core guys for those roles. Would especially love if we could get an OL with OG/OT flexibility like a Rashawn Slater-type.

Taking Karlaftis or Hutchinson would be a coin-flip in my mind.
Freaky athlete, great feet for a 350# player
Thomas and Neal as bookends would go a long way towards stabilizing the OL.
I'm not sure, but I thought i read (maybe on BBI) that Kenyon Green was supposed to start at T this year, but was terrible so they moved him back to Guard...though I haven't confirmed this info.
Also, the Georgia Kids are looking good and we know Judge likes Georgia players.
Put Green next to Thomas and you have an All Pro side for the next 5-7 years
Nick Gates is coming back
And hope Peart turns out to be a player
Hutchinson and Ojulari would be dangerous bookends
I think we can get Tyler Linderbaum with miami's 2nd round pick.
