Concerning offensive play calls near the goal line.
He mentioned something about how much it opens up play calling if you can run the ball there and how difficult it becomes if the other team knows you can't run the ball.
Anyone else catch that ... or get a better quote ? I found that comment interesting as we cannot run the ball when it matters.
Tom also mentioned how he loves crossing routes when the defense is playing zone in the end zone.
and call attention to myself (:-)

Something that doesn't get a whole lotta attention: a weak offensive line that cannot run block results in red zone futility.
there is no push whatsoever when we're inside the 5
How often do we run Penny at the goal line? Seems like he genuinely results in nice short yardage gains when he touches the ball.
I know our OL sucks, but how much do our RBs add to the equation here in short yardage?

Look, up in the sky!
It's a bird!
It's a plane!
No, it's Saquon Barkley!
If they spread it out - say two WRs and two in the slot, the DBs need to respect the pass. Or even two TEs and two split out. TEs could be blocking or they could be running a route.
Giants do not have a powerful line to blow people out of there.

We hear it from the commentators every week. To score in the red zone you have to be able to run in the red zone. We can't so we won't.

Ha! Maybe we should make an offer to John Mara / Steve Tisch and rebuild our team the right way. Have you got $2-3 Billion dollars laying around?
Yes - he was definitely kidding. You could see the smile on the faces of all 3 QB's.
Crossing routes in a shallow zone clearly not a winner.
You are the absolute worst, this thread has nothing to do with Jones. Seriously, you're a complete POS as a poster. You may be Mother Theresa as a person but are a terrible poster.

I do but unfortunately I’ve got it all tied up in a great opportunity I got in Florida swampland.

Don't denigrate Mother Theresa. She definitely knew more about football than DBer.
But a poster did it actually being serious
Yikes there are some really really awful posters on here.

Yea that also a conversation that 3 HOFers were having. But by all means -- lets see that more. Let's see it will amount to what will become a respectable TD stat count or a few embarrassing pick 6s.
I suspect it might be a little of both. I am sure on the Cowboys Garrett woul dh ave loved running it there but at the same time he must be like man " I don't have Dak or Romo here"

is the "heavy" formation which tells the defense they are running. They can put 8 of 9 in the box.

Actually DoucheBagger, what he is saying is “I wish I had Tyron Smith, Zach Martin and Zeke Elliot here….” It works both ways tool…; If we wanted the same shit from you over and over and over we’d squeeze your simple head. Let it go for awhile and see where this goes…. Enough with the same garbage.
Good night.

Oh Zeke Elliot. THat makes no sense. But in your Jones town simple brain it does. That is why he runs it with big formations anyway right with no Zeke?
I can imagine DOs licking their chops at the Giants passing in a spread offense with Daniel Jones. We've seen it. He locks into a receiver , completely oblivious to surrounding defensive ends who just know the ball out of his hands. I saw it at the Atlanta game.
We're really going to have to face some cold and hard truths that Jones is probably not making that 3 year leap which mean he is basically just a good Duke athlete who runs fast not an NFL QB.
By the way this season started before last week you know. He had Golladay , Barkley . He has shown he doesn't know how to use them.
But there were all these QB inside jokes. It was like being let into the private club for a few minutes.
