at this point we are selling low. Honestly, he hasn't been the god awful turnover machine this year (i think he caused 1) and had a couple of nice grabs. The problem this year is he is doesn't seem to be making much of an impact. I don't think I care if we trade or him not. If it's a 3rd (which we aren't getting), I'd be happy, but meh to anything beyond that
I could live with a 5th round pick in the top half of the round. A trade to the Colts, Seahawks, 49ers or LV might work. I could see their seasons going south.
Don't want to give EE away for "a pretzel and a bag of popcorn", but he's just not working out here.
trade value is lessened by the fact that he's in the last year of his contract. So any team trading for him could potentially have him for less than a full season, especially since he would need time to develop chemistry with his new QB and learn their offensive system. I assume only a real playoff contender would therefore even consider trading for him, unless a team was at least reasonably sure they could resign him after this season.
the repeated mental errors, tipped passes, and fumbles are more frequent than his positive plays. He seems to lack a feel for the game, loses focus, and then he starts to press and the hands and the brain all start to lock up.

Not necessarily. If team A trades a late pick for him, but EE signs with team B during FA period next year, team A could theoretically get a comp pick higher than the pick they traded.
His issues are almost always when he stops and turns around waiting for the ball. Yet out OC continues to use him in these 3 yard curl routes. He is at his best and hard to deal with when running across the field
this team still uses him as if he is an in-line TE - baffling
At this point since they are not going to resign him, trade him and move on.
Be interesting to see what a good OC can do with him. Reality is there are very few TE in this league who avg 4 receptions per game
It would also create roughly $3M in additional cap room to roll into next year.
I think a lot will depend on what happens Monday night. A win and the Giants are more likely to see themselves as still in play for a playoff spot and less likely to trade Engram or anyone. A loss and we could see them as active sellers in the trade market.

I would take a fifth of scotch for him. Uh huh.

The best you can hope for is a 5th and that seems far fetched

Me too and I don't drink scotch.

for (another Ole Miss Rebel) TE Dawson Knox and a 6th rounder.
Why would Buffalo make that trade?
Because Engram is a matchup nightmare, or haven't you heard?
Good luck with the new club, you deserve a fresh start, go get some legit pro bowl appearances.
Engram is clearly a talented player, but he could definitely use a reset somewhere else.
What are his talents exactly?
He's been here for 4 years and .... I got nothing. OK. He had that one long TD vs Tampa Bay.

That must be one shitty type of beer. Probably from CJ's brewery, I'm going to guess?
I'm fine with the Giants doing what they gotta do to tank this season, but there isn't another start-able TE currently on this roster.
