Christopher Harris does a nice breakdown of Kadarius Toney film with special attention paid to how he gets space immediately out of the break and his underrated ball skills.
He also breaks down Khalil Herbert in the same video, who we could have had instead of Brightwell. Herbert flashes elite cutting ability and quickness.
Khalil Herbert and Kadarius Toney are Future Stars in the NFL - 2021 NFL Season - (
New Window )
Stating the obvious - Toney's issue right now isn't skills, its health.

Khalil Herbert draft profile - ( New Window )
Had been hearing a lot of buzz on Khalil Herbert from Dan Schnier but had yet to see him play..definitely a fan of his after watching those plays….he would have been fun to have in NYG blue.
clearly Brightwell had much more promise on specials
This, IIRC. Limited ability as an actual ball carrier but has very good hands - good catching the ball. But highly regarded ST player.
The young talent is looking very very good
Toney
Ojulati
Thomas
Peart starting to look good as is Xavier M
If DJ and the big ticket vets can play up to expectations there is reason to think we can be a playoff team.
(Or we can be unbearably awful again..)
