Just realized that there is an episode of Dexter waiting on the table for me this morning. Miss that show, no matter how weird it got, it was a nice recovery at the end of a Sunday if the Giants pissed me off. And that was during the Coughlin days!
So hopefully after today's game it's even more horrid and disgusting than before! Who knows?
Deb was an annoying, inconsistent, judgmental yet stupid character.
Deb being the Dark Passenger seems almost like a way to keep Deb involved in the show.

Definitely would take Harry over Deb.
I thought they butchered the code thing anyway with presenting that Vogel was the one who constructed it. Kind of cooler to think he just thought of these rules on the fly to keep Dexter's tendencies a secret, rather than go blab to a woman about everything. Lame.
That was a dud too in the last season. I thought, at first, she was there to track Dexter down and be a villain but nope. She was some wisdom mommy character.

According to one of the podcasts don’t sure if it was before or after the premier but they said that’s the biggest misconception they aren’t the dark passenger they are his conscience trying to help him contain the dark passenger which is the urge to kill
That's right. When I heard Dexter was coming back. I just watched season 4 and 5.
But the metaphor replacement (or whatever) still stands. This season shows the flashbacks with Dexter wanting to kill the bully when he was a teenager and he said it to Harry and mentioned his urges and need to kill didn't stop.
Harrison is a Brainiac and helps bullied kid out.
they need to get Harrison killing already, my guess is the creepy serial killer abducts the police chiefs daughter, Harrison finds her, Dexter arrives on the scene while Harrison is butchering him.
Circle of life.
The revised/renewed season is pretty bad. The only reason to watch it is to get a Dexter fix after 10 years.

This is where I think they'll go with this as well.
Plus the dad needs to find something linking Dexter to the murder. I'm guessing this season is 10 episodes? Don't worry. We'll get there.
I hope the gun store owner gets killed lol
Also another thing to note, the daughter (Audrey) seems as if she's a carbon copy of some other Netflix show I've seen before. Forget what one though.

I cannot wait until Dexter walks on him doing some sicko ritual all appalled by what he sees lol
Then we have the cameras in the woods and the CSI guy who recreates the crime scene perfectly even though 50 different people were traipsing around the deer he says there is a rock missing that must have caused a head injury.
There's more but it all seems rushed and lazy.
The whole "things don't add up here" part you've taken notice of and the holes in Harrison's story as well, they're going to get to that.
I hope.

Exactly. This was one of my favorite shows to watch. Just let loose and have fun. It would air Sunday nights so if the Giants pissed me off it was nice to see someone get hacked by Dexter.

But let's face it, if you're a stickler for plot holes, how we're you ever a Dexter fan in the first place? The show always had huge plot holes.

Agree
Fuck Glennon. Fuck Judge and Johnny Bullhorn.

Couldn’t disagree more (except the Chloe part lol). Dexter losing control of his passenger, Harrison being a douche understandably or not, both things with Matt’s dad, the unexpected surprise and the revelation at the end. This was probably the best episode yet and next weeks is set up to be crazy.
I was trying to be vague as to not spoil it for those who haven’t seen it yet
Yeah my response was premature. Started off a tad boring and the ended strong.
Nice seeing a body count after the Giants play like shit.
But like I said, it's all gotta be a work in progress.
Lol that makes so much more sense. You didn’t see how it finished when you posted and I replied having already seen it forgetting I did start off a tad slow and hit the passing gear about 2/3 through.
As far as the special guest if only his sister traveled there with him it was would of been perfect 👍
I wasn't expecting anything in particular for this restart season. It's starting to get better, but all in all, I think the show might have been left buried.

If the writers have the balls, they will have Dexter take out the "return guy" before it gets way too weird.
Remember. Rule #1. Don't get caught.

That whole conversation seemed a bit contrived/in your face.

Problem is he didn’t know he was there and by there I mean wherever that is Angela and molly went to for that conference

I feel the opposite. I’ve loved it from the getgo. I don’t remember if it was a podcast or an interview when production just started on the show, and they were pretty straight forward that this isn’t going to be anything like dexter that we’ve had before. It’s a different show and should be viewed as such. That makes sense to me because that’s the biggest complaint I’ve seen that it’s not the same.
I do like how they brought in some of the old cast. The one in the last episode, the trinity killer will be in it( John Lithgow accidentally let that out in an interview awhile back, and although it’s listed by IMBD as someone else as the driver but supposedly the voice of the truck driver that dropped Harrison off in the first episode was the guy who played doakes
Right I’m sure but at that point the damage is done already. Now if he killed him it would put up some massive red flags when he should be in full damage control.

I’d love for him to show up once as his conscience (whatever you want to call it) and say it. When Angela shows him the obituary in the preview would be perfect
and the reboot.
You beat me
first she's going to confront Jim Lindsay about being Dexter Morgan or she's just going to run the F away from him for not being upfront.
Fuckin' Lila. That was a very satisfying kill.
