Let's go win a football game

cjac : 11/16/2021 12:52 pm
I keep hearing things like "no way the Bucs lose 3 in a row" or that Brady is going to have a chip on his shoulder, or how 11 point dogs is disrespectful. Its all a bunch of garbage.

Its time to just win a football game. You got a team thats playing poorly, their defense has been terrible, and their all star QB is not playing well at the moment.

This was the same opportunity we had against the Chiefs and they blew it. But we are getting some players back and will be rested up after the bye week.

Its time, its time to turn this shit around. Time to win a Monday night game, time for Daniel Jones to show what he can do on national TV.

Go win this football game, its right there for the taking, fuck the excuses, fuck the post bye record, fuck the Monday night record, and fuck Tom Brady.

Win this game
You're not wrong

While I still think NYG can make noise in the 2nd half, I'm still not confident enough to say they will.

If they win Monday night I think they're going to go a minimum of 6-2 in the 2nd half.
I'm with you cjac.

It was a bumpy start injury-wise, this is a young team with a lot of new parts and Judge is still a young coach. As a Giants fan, I am hoping they turn the corner & something clicks. I consider the Saints & Raiders "quality wins" this year already.

Last year, they lost 25-23 and the Bucs were better/Giants were worse.

They can win - dare I say they match up well due to Judge & Graham's familiarity w/Brady and last year's game. Brady's been taking hits lately and the Bucs interior OL looks to be struggling. Keep it going.

Monster game for Daniel Jones and this new-look Giants team. They have their weapons, the new players are integrated, it's time to put a good, complete-team performance together.
A win Monday

Would have the complete opposite impact on the team and fan base that the Atlanta and Washington losses did.
How could you say such a thing?
Gman11 : 11/16/2021 1:25 pm : link
Don't you know that losing is good for the team because if they start winning they'll never be able to draft a good player from college?
I am concerned about our ability to protect Jones.

Tampa Bay is a top 10 team in Sacks and can get pressure. If we could not contain Vegas, a similar type of group in terms of pressure, what makes me think we will be functional on offense. I am hoping, but I think is actually a bad matchup for us, even with all of TB's injuries on offense.
Beating Tom Brady...
x meadowlander : 11/16/2021 1:26 pm : link
...would be fucking hilarious. It never gets old!
it aint who you play
djm : 11/16/2021 1:31 pm : link
it's when you play them. The Bucs can be had. And the Giants are not at their lowest point anymore, they are probably at their peak, so go out there and win a game. Then win another game. It's been known to happen.
If only the pass protection wasn't so woefully bad..
Dave in Hoboken : 11/16/2021 1:36 pm : link
.
I am still cranky
djm : 11/16/2021 1:36 pm : link
about the OL though. Only the Giants lose 3/5ths of an OL that was barely even coming together...

Can't we just get Thomas back or is that asking too much. I don't love our chances over the next 7-8 games if Thomas isn't playing. I could see us sneaking to 7-8 wins, but we need all hands on deck to make a real run.
or what Dave said

Unfortunately without Thomas , the wins of which you speak are unlikely. This offensive line is too much of a liability to overcome. That s on DG
Stop your whining

Cjac is absolutely right. Fuck the excuses. All of them especially blaming the GM. Win the game, dammit.

You need another reason to win on Monday? Win it for someone that never cried or whined or gave up. How about winning a game in honor of Sam Huff. Boo Hoo my team doesn’t have enough good tackles or guards. Boo hoo. They can’t compete. Boo Hoo
Yeah baby!

Let's drop another "L" on Brady!

Fuckin A

This game is an opportunity to show that this team is ready to turn a corner. I say let’s turn that fucking corner. They’re gonna win
Totally on board with you cjac

Thankfully Odell is not on board the same boat or we would really be fucked.
The OP doesn't understand

The other team has pro players too. And better ones than the Giants.

So he is at home sitting on his couch stuffing his fat face, and his great analysis of the game in which the opposing team has more talent is- to paraphrase- "go win the football game because I'm tried of the excuses."

Yeah - okay. . . Go eat another cheeto.

So going down the roster, they are more talented?

Id say after our brethren WF Team whacked them last week, they would be very unwise to agree with you that they are so talent laden that we need to look up at them.

We have beaten some very talented teams this year.....and lost to some that you would call lesser talents. The NFL is more level set this year than any year I can remember. There are no super teams. If I had to pick one I would not want to play it would be Green Bay, not Tampa.

Huh???

So let me rephrease your question in the same manner you rephrased mine--

so in your opinion whenever a defending Super Bowl Champion loses two in a row- it means automatically that a team that has been among the worst in football over the past 5 years is at least equal of talent?

You realize that - "Super TEAM" does not equal what I said as TB having "the more talented team," right?
0-5 since 2019

let them each prove how talented they are on monday night
Tampa is there for the taking

Question is will we rise to the occasion

I dont think roster talent won them a SB
It was 75% Brady and he is hitting a rough spot

plus the Giants have traditionally had his number
we will see

So are the Bucs Fans
Batenhorst7 : 11/18/2021 5:39 am : link
Just went to their board and they have realized something the rest of the NFL is just catching on to

The NFC East is once again becoming a beast

They have no confidence in their team right now and one guy even said Evans was playing like a girl

Their D is porous and they cannot move the ball

They noted that while the WFT was ramming it down their throats....Philadelphia dismembered Denver and Dallas was rolling

From their point of view we are a very dangerous opponent
no layups

No .... I was just stating the NFL has no super teams
The ones we thought were unicorns have recently had their costumes torn off...wasnt calling Tampa a super team by any means
