Don't look now, but the Pats are 6-4 after a 1-3 start. I was up in Lake George @ a sports bar for their Week 3 game vs. the Saints & NE looked awful, but since then have gone 5-2 with two close losses to the Bucs (Folk missed last second FG) & Dallas (Lost in OT). Never underestimate The Hoody, easily the greatest coach of my lifetime in any sport.
Mac Jones, so far, has looked like the best rookie QB.
I haven't seen a ton of the Falcons outside of that game we gifted them. I know Dallas pasted them last weekend & they got their doors blown off vs. Philly & TB.
Rooting for NE obviously.
These Patriots are possibly a top 5 AFC team and could make a run.
He isn’t this good. His d forces three and out, his o-line allows them to run the ball, He has time to pass and people are open, over the middle
Crazy. He was the starter for most of last year here and is a fringe guy to every other team.
They have better talent than the Giants.
Falcons offense without Ridley, Hurst and Patterson is scary bad.
They had all their best players (offensively, at least) then. It's a stark comparison to what they have now.
Mac Jones gets more help from his team than just about any QB in the league: a D that routinely forces 3 and outs and gives him a short field, one of the league's best running games, and typically plenty of time to throw. The offense is runs and very short passes, with an occassional deep shot. Been playing from in front for the last 5 weeks makes it easier also.
a bit early perhaps no?
Our defense gave up enough yardage to put the Falcons in range to win the game.
A) the patriots are better than the giants
B) Atlanta is missing its 2 best players on offense
Chris Simms basically predicted it.

BB was preaching to last year's team.....this year: "the first thing we have to figure out, is how to stop losing!!!". wish JJ got that memo in his extensive time working under little bill......

He's not a killer.

Did the Giants lose to the Falcons???

The offense also could have scored more than 14 points
Patterson was their whole offense.
Are you implying that BB knows more than John Mara? And BB would fire him - we don’t do that because the Giants have class and JG is family
Talent matters. But the “arm talent” , “processing speed” “it factor” etc is all bullshit.
Switch Mac Jones and Zach Wilson I bet the teams have the same records
BB cares more about toughness coach ability and dedication He will teach you the rest.
And this team is ideal for a young qb. Great defense. Good line. Great coaching. Mcdaniels
Is doing a nice job bringing Jones along
Still better then Haskins tho
This has raised the bar for the most idiotic post on BBI this year.. Congrats!
Since the team that actually drafted Rosen is now a legitimate playoff contender, you may have a point.
These Patriots are possibly a top 5 AFC team and could make a run.
Good coaching is under-rated
only when his current landscaper quits
Still better then Haskins tho
Remember when BBI was freaking out on draft day saying we should not have passed on Haskins?
Idiots would disregard that both of those teams are higher than us in the standings.. so apparently while being right he still manage to fuck up more than the people who drafted Rosen or Haskins.

Rosen or Darnold. At least they would know they need a reboot already. Right now they are still trying to figure that out. The Barkley pick kicked the can down the road. Hopefully, they don't prolong the impact of that pick.

Just a question.

Hahahaha!
Everyone knew that Pats were drafting Jones and no one jumped in front of the them or drafted him who drafted top 14.
Carolina and Denver look pretty foolish right now. We'll withhold judgement for the 4 teams that drafted QBs ahead of Jones until their QBs have more time in NFL.

The DG haters wanted Rosen and Haskins.

It's all Reese's fault, you know?
Also we definitely would have been better off drafting Rosen. If you're going to fail anyway, fail quickly. That's a part of agile methodology.

I too think Mac Jones is doing extremely well. But last night was 22/26 for 207 1 TD and 1 INT...that is banal.
Lots of high percentage short pass, enough to move the chains. ATL is a blah team.
Game was so exciting I fell asleep a couple times.
But you cannot underestimate good coaching at all. Covers a myriad of problems.
They are easing Mac Jones in. Lot of controlled short passing with good running game. BB will asses Jones strengths and weaknesses and progress accordingly.
BB is very close with Saban so he knew exactly what he was getting with Jones and is building his team around that skill set. Far better than hoping a QB can "elevate" a teams deficiencies which is common from our BBI QB gurus.

The site freaked out...are you sure?
Not trying to prop him up, but Jones didn't look like a rookie...

Realistically, if someone put a gun my head and asked me who has won more games, Barkley or Rosen in the NFL, I would have a hard time guessing the answer..
DG supporters are people who just completely disregard facts and want to knock anyone who would've wanted OBJ here, or didn't want to trade for LW or didn't support drafting Barkley.. while no matter what you think of each of those transactions individually, you have to realize that Giants have been the worse team record wise in the league since DG has been the GM.. so it doesn't matter if we won the OBJ trade or drafted Barkley over Rosen.. we are still worse off than the Browns and Cardinals.. DG sucks because the main part of his job is to put talent on the field that wins games and we suck at that.. everything else is meaningless comparatively..
It is true.. .nothing matters outside of winning. DG is a huge part of the problem. However, this organization is flawed from top to bottom and removing DG will likely yield a small incremental difference.
We have an owner who cannot seem to get his shit together and actually hire the right GM. So, I have no faith in whoever he selects to replace DG. Likely wash and repeat.
We have selected coaches who are part of the problem. Garrett for example and throw in whoever has been on our offensive line coaching carousel for the past decade.
We have a horrible training staff in my opinion. No way we should have this many soft tissue injuries. I think we had about 5 hamstring injuries in 10 days. That is 10% of the team.
I could go on and all it would do is continue to state the obvious. Getting into the weeds on a pick here or a free agent signing there is pointless and meaningless.
That is mostly where his success comes from.
You’re not winning games when you basically throw away 3/4 Barkley ; jones; baker on picks that are not first round material. And who knows if toney is. He looks promising but for all we know gettle could be 4/4 outside of Thomas. Picking in the first round should be pretty easy
Giants can’t do either.
Mac jones is getting it done . He is not a qb that you fault anyone for passing on. He is basically an bellichek project not someone you are going to see making 60 yard completions
He almost certainly isn't, it's much more the case of the right fit for an organisation. Imagine the following: Mac Jones drafted by the Jets - they'd break him. Mac Jones drafted by an NL West side other than maybe Seattle - I just don't see him having the same kind of success. Mac Jones drafted by the Giants - really? With our OLine, he'd be being chased out the pocket all the time.
Herbert, Mahomes, Murray each have more talent than Mac Jones.
Incredible.

I agree, I think Mac Jones is struggling elsewhere.
Belichick teams are wonderful to watch. Really high quality football.
I a)despise Gettleman b)had zero interest in either Rosen or Haskins.
He’s the perfect fit for the Patriots offense. That’s probably why they drafted him. Sure, let’s not put him in Canton just yet. But let’s also appreciate that he’s a rookie. And once again, coaching makes all the difference in the NFL.
The ultimate bandwagoners.
This should win a prize for dumbest post of the decade.
