but Jalen Hurts is clearly the 2nd best QB in the NFCE.
He just finds ways to score points.
He's a good player, and clearly better than Jones. The Eagles did well drafting him where they did.
Hahahahahah
Laugh all you want. I assure you the Eagles and their fans are laughing harder at us.
You superfans fill a valuable role here on BBI - a mirror for our fool of an owner.
NYG beats New Orleans on the road while they’re pretty much completely healthy and it’s no big deal.
Philly is beating Trevor Semien at home with no Alvin Kamara and some are getting themselves all wet!
Nice!
I think Jason Garrett s interview with Paul Schwartz this week gave some insight on the play calling. In case you missed it, the inadequacies of the offensive line are difficult to scheme around.
There is no excuse at this pt in time for the continued futility of that group, that s on DG, but it is definitely a major player in a non productive offense
By comparison watch the games around the league and compare the pass pro to what we see from the Giants on a daily basis,
I hesitate to mention the Eagles less the thread gets derailed again, but Hurts has had solid protection today
I don’t want to say but I think it might be a team in our division who play in Texas
This is the point. He produces.

Once you think it's one team, they let you down. So many top tems losing to mediocre teams at a rate I never seen before. Even today, Packers losing by two scores to the Vikings, Bills getting blown out by the Colts, Titans so far shut out by the Texans. What is happening in the NFL?

Even they had a weird "wtf happened to them" game against the Broncos, but they came back the next week
The D needs to score a TD.

other QB's regardless of who they are, I see them slinging the ball down the field. Is this a Jones or play calling problem? Or simply personnel problem? I would love actual analysis here.

I get the OL problems but I seen teams with bad OL still produce yards and points. Chargers and Vikings last year had HORRIBLE OL yet they put up lots of scores. It seems like only the Giants are limited by it.
They did the same thing to Tampa last week.

has been very sharp and in command. He has made some extremely accurate and high quality throws. But the real story is the Washington OL. They are simply bullying the Panthers defense and blowing their DL off the LOS.

If anything Washington has been more impressive than Philly. If they win this week, they would have beaten Tom Brady last week and this week the Panthers, no great shakes, but with McAffery. Still a long way to go though

Yup. Meanwhile, our OL is a catastrophe, despite four years of DG's FA moves and draft picks.
And I never got the love for their defense. Mediocre.
A lot of pressure on Tannehill but it's a totally different offense with Henry out.
Heinecke.
The team that plays there, supposedly better adapted for the elements scores 7. 🤔

Colts had high expectations this year. That’s why they went and traded for Wentz, it’s coming together for them.
Heineke is better and so is hurts
Come on man. You'd have to be half way objective to do that. Once you're dug in you have to stick with it.
Let’s Go Jets!
Jalen Hurts?
Quite a few.
Our porous OL is the main reason why I want to wait the entire season before making any judgment about Jones. Him not having most of his weapons this year is another.
It s obvious when you watch the game the difference between the Eagles pass pro and the Giants.
I think the presumption is Hurts would overcome the Giants poor O Line play. I don’t agree but I think that is the point being made with the comparison of the two.
Let’s Go Jets!
You realize Philadelphia owns the Dolphins 1st rounder, correct?

Today, yes.

Hurts is playing behind 2 legit tackles and center. Jones plays with what exactly on the offensive line? Can’t just make blanket statements about QB play without analyzing the team around him. Football is the ultimate team game.

Hurts is also faster and can evade tacklers unlike Jones who has good strait line speed but I barely see him scramble

Off schedule athletic plays, arm power and speed over come bad Oline. Hurts has it Jones does not. Jones has the superior passing arm and can make many elite level throws, but he cannot do that under pressure behind this oline.

Go to Buffalo to play in miserable weather and score 31 pts.

Go look at the Colts schedule to start the year. It was brutal. But they have weathered the storm nicely.
Imagine if they didn't collapse against the Ravens...
21-21.
