Yep, and what stinks is even a Joe Schmoe like me knew it.
Not a second guess,
Well you are a Penn State fan so you may have had a little bias involved there.
I thought he'd be a good player, but he's a star. He didn't play like this at Penn State. Good player but didn't wreck games.
And despite how good he looks I'd still rather have Toney plus a top 5 pick in 2022, which is what they're going to get out of the bears pick.
There's a ton to rip Gettleman apart for, but I was fine with what he did in the draft in 2021. If Toney stays healthy he's going to be a very good player and a top 5 pick in 2022 is going to be huge

Toney is a gadget player who so far can’t stay on the field. He had one good game.

Can’t argue that. Those 2 top ten picks will be huge. Hit them both and things can instantly look different.
Question is, whose making the picks?

werent the only team to pass on Parsons.

To early to make that call. We will revisit in the next 2-3 years.
Did anyone else notice this?

This is about as bad is I’ve ever listened to them
They’re basically just rooting for them.
They’re basically just rooting for them.
Yeah, its hard to listen to Troy
Just pathetic

True, but I didn’t want Barkley.

I agree with this, I was happy with the pick and Toney. I would have been fine with Parsons too

Yeah. Dallas has a huge fan base so pandering to them boosts ratings

Only because you had a hard on for Sam Darnold. You were absolutely obsessed with that dude
It is really incredible the reason why we heard through the beat writers we did not have any interest in him. One of the several reasons I hate Gentleman and will never like Joe Judge.

Actually I wanted Darnold or one of the other quarterbacks, only Allen has panned out , didn’t want Lamar
But why would you state that s the only reason, it wasn’t, I was a fan of Barkley but not with the second pick.
Next years pick better be a legend because parsons is fucking awesome. All he needs to do is stay healthy.
Yeah he runs like a corner but hits like Derrick Brooks. Definitely the type of guy who can change the attitude of an entire defense. In hindsight Prob would’ve been worth both the 1st rounders it would’ve cost us (the Toney pick + the Bears 1st rounder). Not sure of course what the Bears pick will turn into but IMO Parsons is a pretty nice bird in hand (if we were playing hypotheticals).
Mahomes looks confused and Dak just looks bad, so far.

What was the reason the beat writers cited?

The Nebulous Red Flags...

I don’t remember anyone in the NFL thinking Parsons was a “franchise changer”. The guy didn’t even go in the top 10. He was known for having elite athletic ability but extremely questionable character. Now after half a season the narrative has changed to whoever they pick with the Bears pick had better be a “legend”. You simply cannot make this shit up.
Dak is the man!!!

Maybe it was the knife fight he got in or the rubbing of junk on freshman’s faces as part of hazing?
Ahmad Bradshaw caused him to drop to 7th round...
Two backup QBs are going to win games without the teams #1 receiver. Individual games don’t mean much.
Nah, key play makers out, poor offensive line play would never keep a quarterback like Dak from performing well.
He s just off today

They lose offensive linemen, and wide receivers(in the giants case, it’s also their running backs).
