Bulls a little banged up, Vucevic i think is still out with health and safety protocols. The bench for the Knicks should out play the Bulls question is what do the starters do?
Last meeting the Knicks attacked the paint constantly, need to do the same thing, Bulls are small and dont have great shotblocking.
Derozan and Lavine are obviously their engines, Derozan has been on a tear lately.
What do we get from Rj, Randle, Fournier and Kemba? Do we get cohesiveness and good ball movement or do we get a chuck fest?
That last call on Lavine was comical.
9-8.
No idea why Quick was in the game to close tonight..
dont get it
And yeah, Kemba deserved fourth quarter minutes.
And yeah, Kemba deserved fourth quarter minutes.
Shouldve closed with Kemba, Rj, Burks, Randle, Obi
Fuck Lebron.
Bench plays up to par they win this game..
Kemba needa to be agressive like he was tonight every night
I think he is forcing to much, taking some bad shots, the open ones will drop eventually, but his driving into 2 guys, taking that little push shot is jist not working
omg trade him while you still can please, j cant stand watching him play basketball
You seem to be a bit over reactional.

i am over reactional to terrible play by barrett what 10 games in a row?
Bulls will need some size and rebounding eventually and Derozan always seems to fold in the playoffs bit him and Lavine have carried the scoring load perfectly..
Bqll plays his tole as a 3 and d, he is who he is but he is doing it well

Yes, suggesting TRADING our most promising youth is downright stupid. He's gotten better each year. he's only 21 and right now, he's in a slump. But you do this every game. You are a kneejerk reactionary fan who lives play to play.
Yeah I don’t know what it’s going to take for them to realize that ISO-ing Randle for 7 straight minutes in the fourth doesn’t work. The opposing team starts sending a second defender towards him and he hasn’t been able to find the open guy. He’s much too willing to throw up a bad fadeaway. There were also two possessions that he stood out on the perimeter aimlessly dribbling and then passed with like a half second left on the shot clock forcing Quickley and Burks to throw up prayers.
I really think RJ needs to be moved to the bench. I’d rather see how he does as the lead option on the second unit instead of taking turns with Randle on the first. Maybe he’ll feel less pressure to force something if he isn’t “competing” with Randle for possessions.

He is not their best youth, people focus on randle choking in the playoffs completely ignore Barrett playing like crap as well..
So how many years does Barrett get to play consistent basketball?

stats but how many possessons did he botch in the 4th quarter? 33 minutes of RJ putting up bricks. When's the last time he had a good game? Weeks? A month?

Its why i thought they should of went back to Kemba, him and randle were playing well together

Who is their best young player than in your opinion? Each year Barrett has gotten better. It took Julius Randle to get to to his 3rd team until he became an All-Star in his 7th year.
And as for the playoffs last year. Heres the splits.
RJ Barrett: 39/29/80
Julius Randle: 30/33/85
One was in his second year and 20 years old. The other was in his 7th year.

Obi? Quickley?
you realize Randle was a 17 and 9 player shooting 55% by his 3rd full year and almost 20 and 10 by his 4th right?
Each year Barrett has gotten better yes from his 1st to his 2nd he got better and from his 2nd to 3rd he has severely regressed
I'll worry about Barrett when he shows he isn't progressing. Instead of being a reactionary teenager on every game thread from play to play, I'll wait for a larger sample size that suggests he isn't worth keeping and exploring a trade.
And again, if it isn't RJ, who's the best Knicks young guy right now? Because I'm pretty sure you were throwing rocks at Quickley earlier in the year as well until he turned his little slump around.

and if you actually read what i write about Rj, you would see its not aboit missing shots, its about thr shots he takes, the way he is playing..i also am the first one to say arj played a good game, i also said yesterday he should be in their finishing the game becaise of his defense and rebounding...maybe dont find 1 quote and actially read what i said..
and what i said about Quickley was he should sit when he is off and when he is making shots and effecting the game he should play, same with every player on this team..
i ahve said multiple times if players dont play well they should sit, there is no one on this team that should jist be given minutes..
Barret, randle, no one

When your one quote says "omg trade Barrett while you still can", I can point to that and say you're being a bit over reactionary. I'm sorry if you took offense to me calling that out as being absurd. But it was. Sit Barrett, fine. But trade him? Everyone was loving him when he went off on a little 3 game tear that started against the Pelicans earlier this year.
And with you being a die hard Knicks fan, how many Knicks drafted players have shown progress like RJ? Again, I think it's important to reiterate he's only 21. This isn't a Ntilkina like patience I'm expecting where Ntilikina was a wasted pick and a black hole since day 1. RJ has shown he can do everything.
Right now Rj is killing the starters, 3rd quarter he didnt take a bunch of shots and just played defense, rebounded, and ran the floor and he let Kemba and Randle work and they looked good...
1st quarter when he forced a bunch of shots they looked terrible..
Fournier needs to shoot better and Kemba needs to be more agressive but they arent killing the starters, Rj is
Yes he's progressed a bit, but if we didn't know he was a third overall pick I'm sure we'd all be wondering what he's doing in the starting lineup at this point.
To be fair I think everyone saying RJ was untradeable and now the best player on the team was pretty reactionary. Until we get to a championship level roster, I don't think anyone is truly untradeable. It just depends on what the return is.
You can say that statement for 98% of the league. But I agree with you. Knicks as a team haven't taken that next step yet.
I've actually was more encouraged with the Bulls loss than the Rockets win.
And I'll say it now. RJ will be the Knicks best player before the end of the year.
if that's true (which I doubt), then Thibs is a moron for consistently giving him more mins than anyone aside from Randle - especially when you have two vets (Fournier and Burks) who can fill his role.
Knicks were missing some bigs but the Bulls were missing Vucevic who will return sometime this week.
Not sure where the Lonzo Ball hate is coming from. The dude plays tough D often against guys taller than he is. Ball has provided a steady offensive passing influence and has consistently hit the Three this year providing the Bulls with a third and fourth scoring option when the big man returns.
I look forward to the next Knicks-Bulls matchup as I think the old rivalry is fast getting renewed. Although it is tough watching D Rose excel in a Knick uni. He should play more for youse guys.
Yes he's progressed a bit, but if we didn't know he was a third overall pick I'm sure we'd all be wondering what he's doing in the starting lineup at this point.
Hasn't he always looked like that though? He has some nice dunks when its an open lane but he rarely finished overs guys in the traffic. It's the big weakness in his game.
Bulls are really good. What a great offseason for them...talk about a transformation in a year. They have a shot at the finals.
Our centers are China dolls. They can't stay on the court. Don't know if they'd even trade him but if he ever comes available I'd definitely explore Austin if I were the Knicks hierarchy.
