Their defense isn't great, yet they're 6-4. Why is that?
Because they score 26 PPG on the back of their excellent young quarterback, who in 10 games has accounted for 24 TDs.
Justin Herbert is great and better than Jones from what i have seen so far. You won't get me to say otherwise. But he also has a ton of talent around him, no?
RE: Herbert wasn't all that good at QB last night unless you prefer things
Seriously, though, this kid is fantastic. I get it, Pitt's D was short-handed, but they still get pressure (Storm Norton makes Solder look like an all-pro). Herbert may be the best QB in football soon. He's that good.

He does. But Terps doesn't like when facts get in the way...
"Jones sucks because of the players around him" isn't a fact. It's conjecture.
"Jones sucks and the reasons why are up for debate" is a fact.
Either way the fact is Jones sucks.
I know you are not responding to me, but I never characterized Jones in the way you are saying. I just make the simple observation that he is not as productive as many because of the situation he is in. I see him play and think he is the best player on the field many weeks for our team. Does Herbert have more ability from what I see yes, but that does not mean Jones is not very good. he is not productive because for many weeks he is playing behind a terrible offensive line and injuries at the skill positions. He has done very well under those circumstances even if the numbers are not very good.
I root for the kid every week
I don't think most people on BBI actually root for Herbert. I think it's more about dissapoinhtment with what could have been.

'Very well' is what Herbert is doing. What Jones is doing can only be described as wholly unproductive.
