This one brings a tear to my eye ... but I’m not sure if it’s nostalgia for growing up in the 60s or because NFL officiating has sunk to new lows. I’m not condoning family insults but pretty soon the players might be wearing garter belts instead of jock straps. Have at it.

Eric, I’m not sure if you’re serious or joking, but there’s an embedded video in the link with the refs call.
The NFL has always tried to find their next lane of revenue, such as games being played in England (soon to be Germany), women’s uptick in apparel. Now, they have Nate B on a kids show going over game highlights. The CTE dilemma has threatened the NFL’s future, so they are trying to integrate kids even deeper. Hence, the taunting rule implementation.
They want a clean game. Is this over the top? Sure. But it’s ongoing and there is no end in sight. Players have to adjust
must've been one hell of a "yo momma" joke.
that said the focus on taunting is indeed dumb, unless it's something completely egregious (i.e., not a yo momma joke, nor a bears linebacker looking at the steelers sideline and taking two steps toward that sideline before going back to his own sideline).
There are plenty of things worth criticizing about the officiating . I'm not sure this in one of them.
A guy got flagged yesterday for pointing to a defender as he crossed the endzone.
Mara, Rivera, whoever else, are the worst.
Agreed, there is no consistency in the enforcement of rules nor the rules themselves. Also the Chiefs player that got flagged for taunting while the Cowboys player ripped his helmet off by the facemask. What the fuck?

but filming a choreographed celebration in the end-zone 90 yards away isn't, then the NFL has officially become a joke of an organization.

If it was not a call by an NFL ref, it would have been unbelievable.
And let's not forget they fined that player on the Bears for looking at the side line. Just unbelievable.
