..you can blame anything you want. You can complain about Jones, Garrett, Judge, Mara, or the fucking Easter Bunny.
It won't matter.
There are 7 glaring problems on the field tonight. 4 on the oline and three on the dline. Nothing else does, or will matter, until both are fixed. Period.
Spot on
Name it..
He has to go.

But it doesn’t mean we should hold onto an ineffective QB.

My point exactly. With 4 olinemen who are not NFL caliber, and an RB and TEs who can't chip or block inline, how is he supposed to be effectual?

Of course I do. Did Jones tell Hernandez to hold three times? Did you watch the interior line ay at all? Three stunts completely missed? Thomas getting beat by speed? They were rushing 4 against 5 or 6 almost all game...and they had pressure almost every play. Did yiubsee the missed blocks in the screen game? Did you see Thomas whiff on the LB on the Jones draw in the first quarter?

By not missing wide open WR when the play has a chance to succeed. By not making bone headed throws, leading to short fields for the defense to defend.
He’s not the only issue. Can he play better under better circumstances? Sure. Can any QB in the league win with this roster? Debatable
But how you can watch him play over the last 3 years and think, that’s my guy. You must like getting your balls smacked. I don’t get it

I'm not saying he's the guy...I'm saying how the fuck could anyone know? He doesn't stand a chance.

You’ve never seen a QB in this league do more with less? Cause that’s the league. You either have a top tier guy and can compete in the playoffs most years, or you can’t. This roster is no where close to making an 07’ / 11’ run. By the time you do, if you do, DJ is on his 3rd contract making money he doesn’t deserve.
Your choice. Although, it sounds like you’ve chosen
How can anyone succeed with that line.
Nearly impossible!
If anyone wants to teach an oline the definition of pass pro and what a pocket should look like, there were at least 30 examplea to show on the Tampa offense tonight. Our dline was horrid. Pathetic. The LBs were no better.
We have no run game. Can’t play action effectively without a run game. Can’t pass block to save our lives. Hernandez was horrific, and he’s a starter. We want him out there apparently.
And who cares what DBs you have if you’re asking them to cover NFL WRs for 4-6 seconds? QBs can get to their 3rd read and start over. If teams can run in you for 5-8 a pop.
Jones was hot garbage tonight, who out there wasn’t? But with or without him, this team lacked the basic foundation: winning the LoS.

One of the better posts of the night and I
i wouldn't give either of them a 2nd contract. but i'd also invest my draft picks and money now in building a football team - starting from the inside out. if a QB falls into our laps, fine. otherwise we get one after we have a team to put him on. i'm sick of us getting pushed around for 60 minutes a game.
and this is coming from someone that knows that you need a top QB if you're going to contend on a yearly basis.
