NFT: Have NY sports ever been this bad?

Over a ten year drought in championships in all major sports. I've never seen such mediocrity and/or shitty play year after year. Has it ever been this bad to be a NY fan?
I think

NY football is at a real low point, but NY sports in general? It could be worse.

Islanders have been one of the best teams in hockey the last few years. Rangers were one of the best teams in the hockey around 5 years ago, and appear to be on the upswing again. This decade includes a Stanley Cup appearance, and a President's Trophy, so hockey-wise, I'd say it's not miserable.

Yankees/Mets- Yankees have been competitive for the entirety of the decade I'd say, making the playoffs in 7/10 seasons with 3 ALCS appearances, but no WS appearances. Frustrating for sure, but competitive. Mets have been way more volatile, but way more miss than hit. The decade does include 1 World Series appearance though.

The Knicks pit of misery appears to have a light at the end of the tunnel (though this season has been frustrating). We've seen worse basketball that's for sure. I'm hopeful for the direction of the Knicks for the first time in a while.
