Please explain to me why Matt Peart if good enough to play on the fucking blindside but not at RT over that turnstile? I dont fucking get it what am I missing? He is not good enough to be evaluated?
100 percent. The need to get Billy Price off the fucking field too. Guy is Solder lvl bad. Move Skura to center and sign some young practice squad guys to play guard. Nothing can be worse than what they put out of the field.
to man an OT spot over Peart, that doesn't bode well for his development this past year. He barely played last year so I get Solder maybe starting the season, but its almost Thanksgiving now.
Giants have to draft or sign an OT in the next offseason, and now this could mean we actually need two...

Giants need 4 new starting OL going into next season. Maybe only 3 if Gates can bounce back.
was --first surprised to see Solder on the field. Then I thought that perhaps Thomas was still not 100%. That maybe Peart was backing up Thomas in case he couldn't make it through the game. That they didn't want to disrupt the O-Line mid-game if Thomas needed to come out of the game.
Later in the game I thought, wow Thomas is our best receiver out there tonight.

Wrote this a few weeks ago or something like it...
The assumption should be that only Left Tackle is covered for next year. This makes it too much to think you can reconstruct the rest in one offseason, so presume you need two years to find enough guys to determine the other 4 longer term starters (taking into account injuries and draft misses).
Probably keep Gates and Lemieux (if they can return), Peart and maybe ask Bredeson to return but none should be assumed as starters. The rest of the guys can be released.
Bring in a moderately priced Guard in free agency to man Right Guard. Let Lemieux and Bredeson compete for the Left Guard spot...loser becomes the backup. Draft a Tackle and Center in Day 1 & 2 of 2022 draft to compete against Peart and Gates...losers becomes the backups.
Peart should 1000% be playing over Solder.

Could be pressure from the organization on the coachin staff.
Solder's contract was restructured to be back-up level for this year, and NO ONE believes he's coming back next year.
Not pass rushers or QB. Skill players.
The front office needs to make the right decisions and they obviously have not.

Use 2023 Draft to upgrade Guards.
