We know Judge quit on the players, as we saw the team lazily going three and out and punting with 5 minutes left in the game. But how can the players not have mentally checked out at this point?
I realize the new standard for a successful season per Mara isn't whether they have a winning season but whether or not the players quit on the coaches during the inevitable losing season. Are we at that point yet?
Judge apparently alluded to it, saying that the players have a right to be frustrated or whatever. It would seem he is losing the team if he hasn't lost them already.
Watching the last minute of the first half last night really makes me miss a guy like Coughlin, whose hurry-up offense was like a swiss fucking watch, vs. the dogshit mess we see at the end of halves from Judge.
We'll see if he can shock the system enough this week to get them back
I don’t think “quit” is the right word. More like the Giants didn’t go in there expecting to win and when the Bucs started to pull ahead, they didn’t believe they could make a comeback. “Resigned” is a better word than “quit.”
and more and more players will be making business decisions from here on in.
Golladay was an easy one to spot, but there were others. Some of the names are surprising.
Anybody else see it?
no i agree, i understand it completely. but there have been apologist posters on this forum talking about how the players continue to play hard for judge or some shit like that.
it didn't seem like that to me last night.
i saw more "quit" in the players last night than i ever saw under shurmur (maybe jenkins or eli apple being the exceptions), or even mcadoo in that 2017 season.

Golladay is a real disappointment this year. Mostly injured and when in games, low effort. If your best players aren't giving it their all, what do you expect from the rest? What a mess . . .

I don't think Golladay is a fan of Jones and it is bringing out his selfish/dogging it side. There were red flags on this discussed before he signed...
